Besides drilling into the bed, what other ways are there to secure this to the truck? I'm considering turnbuckles but it doesn't feel ideal. I also have a bedmat and don't wanna give it up (since I'm only doing one drawer) or poke through that, too.

Thanks for posting this. I plan to attempt a 1/2 bed drawer that will get up to the top of the bedside and 1/2 bed cargo slide to hold 7gal of water, 5 gal of fuel, my fridge and power supply. I figure putting the slide on the right with all the heavy stuff should help counteract the fuel tank on the left.

Just a couple little updates for everyone. I’m a huge fan of multicam black. So I found some 3m backed multicam black panels, and also some multicam black webbing and finished my drawer setup. Now with the fridge slide, and also the arb classic series 50qt fridge set up in. My bed is now exactly how I imagined! Thanks for everyone who follows this thread!

So I just finished building just about everything, I just need to secure it to the bed. I have a few options as to where to drill through the bed and bolt it down, but im curious what others did. Would it be ok to attach only the passenger side and leave the drivers side (gas tank) unsecured. I think i can mount fore and aft of the tank, but again, im curious how others did it before I start drilling. TIA

I only installed a passenger side drawer but I just drilled through my OEM bedmat and the bed using 4 bolts connected to angle braces on the extrusions. I think the bolts are SS 1/4", and I used nylon locknuts.

Towards the tail gate, I drilled the bolt holes
facing down, and towards the cab of the truck, I drilled the bolt holes horizontally as it’s easier to access the bolts that way then if they were facing down towards the gas tank. Hope this makes sense lol

Love it! Just stumbled in this. Building mine soon with 8020 bars. Do you have your order and measurements list in hand?

Awesome! Short bed correct? Do you have anymore current pics? I love the details. Are the drawer faces vinyl wrap? Also, looks like you secured it using L tracs. Any tips on that?

Short bed yes! Drawer faces are 3m cordura wrapped in multicam black. I did use the l tracs. Basically mount them to the drawers then drilled holes through the bed and mount them to the bed so that there was no way for them to move. Let me
See if I have anymore current pictures.

I really appreciate all the info in this thread! I just ordered up some extrusions to start building up my drawer. I have a bedrug in my truck, so looks like I can push my drawer up to almost the outside as the rug evens out all the bolts up front. Question for that is that now I can get the 54" rail slides instead of the 48's I think. Seems to be useful, wondering if I'm making a mistake assuming I can fit it. I'm ok with buying over sized extrusions as I can cut them down, but a little leery putting in the order for slides as you obviously can't just chop those down if they don't fit. Thoughts?
