    Question:

I landed a 4runner elocker 3rd yesterday with 4.30s. Axle code is A04A from the door jam. The 4runner was an auto with 3.4L V6.

I have a TRD Taco with elocker and 4.10 gears, axle code B03A.

Can I "bolt on" this third to my Tacoma's elocker housing axle?

Yes - it should work 'as is'. Both your Tacoma TRD e-locker and the 4Runner e-locker are based on the same Toyota differential - the so-called 'V6 / Turbo' unit.

    A few bolts are different.
Enola: I'm confused on what makes you think 4.30 gears will work with the 4.10 in his truck

well, the reason i asked this is because i'm thinking about going to 33s.

yes, she's a Prerunner now but i'm going to do a 4x4 conversion.

i'm also in the process of gathering parts to do a 4x4 conversion as well. i got a 4.10 front diff but if 4.30s are a good trade-off to run 33s (using factory gears without having to re-gear), then i might as well get 4.30s in the front as well...???

    what are your thoughts?

Some stuff. Not a lot, just some.
Yes, match the gears upfront and back.
