Ive run AT-3s for years never had problems. Maybe Toyotas “rules” will change in the future now that Goodyear owns Cooper Tire, or then again maybe they wont.

Not much different than my dealer saying that Toyota is the one making them sell $2,000 to $5.000 over sticker. Yeah right.

No issues with my Coopers, absolutely love them.

Well... No issues other than a little 34" chub rub...

He said Goodyear wasn't any good either. I would of been fine if he had said. We can't sell those as we have negotiated with other manufacturers. But nooe he said they were no good poorly made tires.

That made me laugh. Good point.

    Contracts
. We are talking about contracts. Toyota has cross promotional contracts with certain brands to promote their tires and they get some incentive back, likely a rebate based on volume. They don’t have a contract with Cooper.

Every set of Rubber Master Tires a Toyota dealer sells, Toyota gets a $__ kickback quarterly for recommending / endorsing that brand. This is corporate partnership 101. Your favorite athlete doesn’t drink Red Bull 24/7 but they got a can in hand when they are on camera because they have a…say it with me…. contract!!

Not enough bandwidth on the internet to list.
In other words, Cooper is doing just fine without selling their soul just to see their tires on a Tacoma roll off the delivery carrier before PDI. What a sleazebag statement from a typical, uneducated sales douche that's just parroting what his Sales Manager mentioned in some morning motivational briefing. Gawd I hate the retail car industry.

My uncle ran Cooper tires on his horse trailer. One day a tire blew out and the horse trailer fell off a cliff. The horse survived, but it was so spooked it charged into a church and knocked over a candle that lit the tapestries on fire and burned the church to the ground. Tragically, 157 church cats perished in the blaze, but the horse again survived. That same horse went on to win the Kentucky Derby, twice. The horse was called “157 souls”.

In my family we only run Cooper tires as we consider them lucky.

Tell you dealer to give me a call. Sounds like we both like telling stories.

And it's true :) Was at a Jeep/Ram dealer. It just really got my goat that they think people are that stupid, so I walked out. One of the most satisfying moments ever at a car dealer lol.

The Cooper Endeavors I'm running are awesome. Truck hasn't imploded yet. Maybe I'm on borrowed time?

I replaced my Tacoma's OE crappy Goodyear tires with Cooper ST Maxx. Verry happy with the Coopers.

I run coopers as well. on my third set. i can tell you my current set is about 30% life left and whatever compound is at that level sucks.

The previous two sets did not have that issue.

They are loud, spin out easy, and squealing.

I've learned to feel sorry for people like that. Most of the time it's not that they think you're stupid, but rather they are stupid enough to think they've mastered bullshit artistry.

...because there are few more impactful conversation enders than "Oh son, bless your heart..." and walking away. :drevil:

Having been raised a Yankee from NJ it wasn't until about 4 years ago that I learned from a client who was nice enough to educate me that "bless your heart" was not meant as a compliment or being nice :)

Oh no, its much more sinister.

If you hear the word "dumbass" your first instinct is to get angry and defensive. If you hear "bless your heart" employed in the right tone, you get knocked on your ass. Its one of those that makes you pause and rethink your life.
