I have installed the Blackvue DR590W and the PMP and an issue has occurred with the functioning of the PMP. Low profile mini fuse taps were used and the wires crimped. I have the correct wires going to the hazard lights (yellow for continuous power) and the windshield wiper (red for intermittent power) respectively and then the terminal/ground wire is under the screw on the backside of the plate where the airbag is at knee level.

The PMP is set to infinite with 12V.

When I push the selector switch on the PMP to "off" the PMP does not turn off and the dashcam continues to record even when the truck is turned off. If I manually unplug the PMP, it turns off, but then I plug it back in and turn it on but it doesn't come back on until I start the truck (and then it doesn't turn off again despite what the selector switch is on).

I contacted Blackvue and all they told me is that I had likely installed it wrong and to watch a linked video (which I already had).

Does anyone have any idea what I might have done wrong with the wiring? I am only posting on this forum since I know several have this dashcam setup with the Tacoma. Thank you for any help.

Yellow should go to an “ignition on” power source.
