This!!! Why are company cars mostly crappy base models and not fully loaded Infiniti G37s?

I worked for a real estate investment and property management company in college and the four guys who owned the business drove E class Mercedes that were leased as 'company vehicles' and accounted for accordingly!

I'd personally go with a Tundra. The Tacoma is more of a lifestyle vehicle than a work truck IMO.

I'll also add that although this is a Toyota site, if you go full size (which you should) I'd seriously cross shop the competition. The Tundra, while reliable and proven, is downright archaic compared to the competition. Toyota's allocated all of about $15 to the Tundra R&D budget since the current Tundra was released 10 years ago. If it's something you're going to be in all day every day I'd be in an F150 for sure.

Eh I think a tacoma will work fine, get a used one. If it will be you and 2-3 others it may get a little cramped but still doable.

Keep in mind Tacoma is the #1 sold work truck in the USA today so it must be good for the job.

That can't be true. F-Series has to have that title.

But the tailgate won't bend or rust out. I have 208,000 miles on my 2012 f150 eco boost work truck. It pulls an enclosed trailer about 35% of the time. A Tacoma would be dust.

So many ford fanboys here. I think y'all are on the wrong forum. Some people are just gay for crappy trucks. Anyway back on topic. A Tacoma would make a great worktruck if it was just you. They can haul a pretty good load, light on its feet off-road. And it will hold its value pretty good. If you have the option for a full size truck and it's reasonable why not go with the new titan? Or the tundra?

Says the Toyota fanboy. Take off your blinders. Toyota does not have a hold on full size market like it does mid size. For almost any other segment of vehicle I would lean heavily towards Toyota, or maybe Honda, but for Full Size trucks you're in absolute complete denial if you think Toyota has the best offerings.

Yeah I'm a Toyota fanboy on a Toyota forum. As for full sized trucks I would take the tundra over the competition if we are talking about gas engines. Diesel wise I would take the titan or the duramax. The ford power stroke is a complete joke since they got rid of the 7.3. The dodge has a great Cummins motor but the rest of the truck is garbage. The ford is a pretty truck don't get me wrong, but all the things that go wrong with them is enough to turn me off of them. I can get into the whole list of reasons why I would never buy a Ford F-150 but I don't have the time to type out all my issues with these trucks. When you work in the automotive field for a living you realize real quick what is a complete piece of shit and what isn't half bad. I know it's probably not going to sink into your skull because you have been brainswashed with the macho American truck mentality but maybe spend a little time working on these pieces of shit and you will see the light. Typical ford owner arrogance at its finest.

Jeeze, somebody's a little sensitive. I've never owned a domestic vehicle because I agree with you that they are generally inferior. It's not a matter of being "brainwashed with the macho American truck mentality" but an observation on the market as a whole. I base a vehicle purchase on more than just the reputation for reliability. You simply cannot argue that the Tundra is not an outdated vehicle. There's a reason that they sell like shit. They're not competitive in the market they're in. I can't be surprised that a typical 2nd Gen owner is defending a rolling appliance like the Tundra....after all it's proven and it works! Who needs modern conveniences??

literally just a pissing contest. every truck has their issues. some more than others. why not buy something you like rather than be brainwashed by people who just have a raging hate for a brand of truck. its 2017. no truck is made like they were 20 years ago. from my experience they are all pieces of shit and are going to fall apart eventually anyways.

I buy a truck because I want it to work, I don't need fancy shit. If I want fancy stuff I will buy a Bentley continental. A truck is suppose to be a truck.

You know what, you're absolutely right. Toyota is the only manufacturer on earth that makes a working truck. I just can't believe the millions of tradespeople using domestics haven't gotten this memo!
