Tacoma Beast 2nd Gen 2TPAM

I would like to get the Tacoma Beast 2nd Gen 2Tpam for my 2010. They said it was only compatible for the 2012 and up. Has anyone tried to buy it and modify it themselves to make it fit the 2010?
I understand that any modification like that would void any warranty they might have on the product but has anyone mcgivered it before and gotten it to work?
