I have the OEM bed divider in my 2011 crew cab trd sport. The issue is it doesn't want to slide back and forth easily due to the bolts that secure the rails to the truck. Since I am in no way a mechanic, does any know if these can be changed with some type of flat head bolt rather than the rounded head? Has anyone had this issue?

I have a cargo divider and have had a similar experience. The issue is that one side will move further than the other until it hits a bind point and gets stuck. Couple months ago I did the following and my cargo divider has been moving a bit easier w/out any mods.

    1. Loosen all the bolts to the point where everything slides but is still attached to the bed rails and divider.
    2. Line up the cargo divider so it's perpendicular to the bed rail (tape measure helps)
    3. Tighten the bed rail bolts
    4. Tighten the cargo divider bolts

For me this minimized the 'wiggle room' and my cargo divider gets stuck less often when I move it using both hands spaced apart, tho it still sticks time to time in which case a swift kick will budge it free.

Made this out of 2x6's. It is out of the picture, but I have a piece running across the back, which is tight against the tailgate when it's closed. It lifts out easily and keeps shit in place. I have plywood cut and hinged, which turns each box into a covered compartment as well so I can stash stuff and still use the bed for cargo.

Minwax polyurethane. or... who cares, it's in the bed, subjected to the weather.

The problem is there are drain holes in the bed rail and the bolts in the cargo divider are square and the corners of the bolts drop down into the drain holes and get stuck. You can feel it with your fingers if you run them under the bed rail.

What I did was remove the cargo divider bolts and round off the corners on my grinder. This helped, but it still gets stuck if you don't move it exactly the same on both sides.

You have to loosen the clamps a lot, because the distance between the bed rails is not uniform from front to back. You also have to be careful about keeping the divider perpendicular between the rails, so that it does not bind. I find that spraying the rails with silicone helps a lot.
