Can't put anything anywhere in the bed of the truck. Wife's ski boots got soaked, so I put mine upside down and they soaked UP water in bed and everything is moldy .Might as well not have a cover at all. Any recalls?

Yeup that's how Tacoma beds are. Even with a camper shell there is intrusion of water. There's methods and diy ways to try and seal and some people have ok success but under enough rain it'll still leak.

It's a truck bed, not a vehicle cabin unfortunately

Mine barely leaks at all but I got 2 heavy duty totes to put everything in just incase. Also a bed mat helps channel any water that does get in under the mat & drains out under the tailgate

I dunno - I have an OEM tonneau cover and yes it does leak but not as much as I had expected. How long do you keep your boots in the truck for it to grow mold?

Maybe that's why they have drain holes?

I drilled extra and enlarged the stock ones. My bed leaks a lot since I got rid of my cap.

Pull the trigger on a diamondback cover. Pricey at around 1400-1800 but well worth it, especially if you need the added security. It may still leak a little under heavy rain but i've seen guys on youtube using silicone to completely seal i

If you look at new 2019 they have plugs on the bed rail which is where a lot of this water comes from
