Tacoma Bed Side Panel Replacement

Hi All,

I have always viewed this site but this is my first post. I have a 2020 Tacoma TRD Off road access cab. Recently I was in an accident and someone hit my driver side bed side. Took the truck to the body shop to get it fixed and they said everything is good to go and the parts should be in soon. I get a call a week later saying there was a mix up and the bedside panel is back ordered until December!

Any help on trying to locate a replacement (Part #65600-04410). I have been scouring facebook market place and Craigslist with no luck.

Im shocked Toyota has what seems to me a standard part back ordered for almost 6 months. Now I am stuck without a car because the body shop pulled everything apart and insurance wont cover a rental beyond 30 days. Yes the body shop should not have pulled the truck apart until they had all the parts but its crazy to me that this is back ordered so far.

Located on Long Island in NY. If anyone has any leads or knows someone who may have one it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance and hope everyone has a great day.

 

Any salvage yard should be able to get you a bedside next day. It will be used, but it will be there.

 

Yup I have no problem with it being used. Sadly I have called a number of local yards and either they don’t have it or they have the 5’ bed. I forgot to add to the original post its an access cab with 6’ bed.

 

why would you let them take the truck apart first? new tacoma bedsides have had a supply issue for a while.

the last two times i was dealing with an ins. claim the ins co. wanted me to go to one of their body shops to have car taken apart to have the estimate done, i said bs and i will get my shop to give an estimate and they can deal with any supplemental damages after repairs start, there are always things needed after repairs start
