    I'm sure he could find some used Icons for $500 that he'd then have to spend another $300 to get rebuilt.

    Again, high end (used or not) coilovers are not what he "needs" to fix his issues. All he "needs" are non-warn out shocks. If he *wants* upgraded shocks, go King or Icon all the way.

    True... but they don't need to be re-built all of the time.
    And, warn does not make shocks. Winches, yes.

    Cool... my son is in Tennessee and I struggle with that at times.
    Honestly, if the OP has the cash and wants to up-grade at the same time, I'm only suggesting he go for it.
    Plenty of OEM type stuff available from Rock Auto which I've used plenty of times.

    You might think about checking lower and upper ball joints while your at it.Worn BJ's can make handling
    and braking do strange things.2 cents.

    The curbs can be nasty too, but nothing is worse than the big, red Target ball.
