I've learned to never trust anyone, just not worth it. People lie for the stupidest of reasons, sometimes they need to, sometimes they don't. Always do your own background on anything because we're human and we're bound to make mistakes.

I'm guessing this guy just doesn't know any better but who knows. If you work for Toyota you should probably know your product.

Of course I meant that too, but he could easily be lying just to sell the product more because people have this belief that drums are old school, which they are, but do pretty much as good of a job as rotors on a stock vehicle.

Probably one of the lead engineers on the third gen. Totally clueless.

Did you hear those spinning tires though? That's some neck snapping acceleration. I hope Toyota offered to pay their Chiropractic bill.

I genuinely want to know how they did that. My Tacoma will absolutely not spin the tires it will not break loose yes with trac off and ECT on, flooring it from a standstill. Nothing. Nada. Zilch.

Maybe it's the top secret TRD supercharger under development

kind of stupid that he says it has disk brakes when it doesn't and even more so when drums actually offer better braking force, they just suck at dissipating heat

I have the power sliding window...I've maybe used it 3 times so far. And of those 3 it was because someone asked if the window in the back opens.

I mean come on, how stupid would one look if they had to go slide that window open buying a new vehicle. Toyota is focused on what matters

I'm guessing it has something to do with all that sand or dirt on the pavement.

Of course, 3rd gens have to rev high just to get that "power" all because they gave up some tq for hp :D I'm always more impressed sitting in a 2nd gen, brake, rev to 1500, and let go, acceleration is great up until 60-65.

Freeway speeds in the city are 65mph here. Don't really need the power up there. Prefer it down low!

I'm confused... You dont get full tq until 4,600 rpm, that's why I said the 3.5 needs rev range to keep power, tq gets you off the line fastest, hp keeps on pulling. And no I dont drag race my truck for fun lol
If you prefer it down low,

The M/T will (nanny stuff off).

Of course, you run the risk of grenading your made from crackers ring n pinion in the process.
