This is just like my opinion man but...

The ridgeline does have a heavier payload by ~200lbs when comparing a 4X4 double cab long bed sport with an AWD Ridgeline, but the tacoma is rated to tow 1500lbs more. Also putting a spare tire in the bed so you can't reach it when you have a payload is pretty idiotic to say the least. I feel like the ridgeline excels at being a commuter car that can carry your occasional load and tow, but thats a pretty niche market imo, where I live I just cant't see it hauling all my toys over shitty back roads (Basically all our roads) or driving through a foot of snow, a subaru crosstrek/outback/forester have a full inch and a half more ground clearance (8.7 vs 7.3), which is probably why you see a ton of subarus and tacomas here (have only seen 1 new ridgeline here). The tacoma is an active life style truck IMO, you use it to camp, fish, hunt, haul your toys and the like, if I was hitting the max payload of 1500lbs for a ridgeline or the 1300 for the tacoma often id use a trailer otherwise, id seriously consider a 3/4 ton

As far as man cards go, I've seen some pretty burly men get out of some pretty feminine looking vehicles

That is what the average Tacoma owner does ....

that is what the marketing and advertisement says. You may use your taco that way, but 95% of other taco owners don’t :)

Thats true, thats how I use it, but I may be a minority, now that you mention it, most tacoma owners should probably switch to the ridgeline

Well advertisement says only Tacoma are lifteysle trucks for fishing :D

I have no clue. My Taco is valet parked with it’s RTT, lift, shiny ko2 tires at Dukes in Malibu while I eat fish

For my life style I don’t even need a ridgeline. Tata Nano would suit me just fine

But due to advertisement I have a poseur 55k truck (with mods)

    MMmurica ....

pretty sure all you need for fishing trips is beer, and according to honda your ridgeline can carry 1500lbs of it, resume trip :hattip:

    Key word there is "style."

Let's just call it what it is so we can end this thread:

The Ridgeline will do everything an average Tacoma owner needs better than a Tacoma 95% of the time.
However, the Tacoma looks cooler and matches the whole "vibe" if what most owners dream of doing.

    Looks win for Tacoma.
Utility wins, 95% of the time, for Ridgeline.

Those who need a certain look to be manly need help.

I own a Tacoma because, Toyota, and 6MT.
