Reliability will be trash. Imagine how hard that engine is going to have to work.

What about the Toyota 4 cyl engine offered in the Tacoma? At least the ford has a turbo.

Ridgeline sells about as well as the GMC Canyon. I am sure GM won't cancel the Canyon so why would Honda cancel the RL? Their target was around 30,000 units per year and they seem to be meeting it. Until they expand their capability in USA they will always produce all the Pilots, MDXs, Odysseys they can before allocating anything more to the Ridgeline. Toyota does the same with the Tundra. They don't have any more capability to produce than what they do now which is about 1/7th of what Ford does with the F-150. Simply these are corporate business decisions.

Great, this probably means no upgrades, no more powerful engine or all those other things were hoping for.
Anyway, it's a pretty good truck and the sales are proving it.
LMAO at GMC. Truth is, there's a new truck about to come out so probably a lot of their customers are waiting for that.

If the Ridgeline is a real option as you state, why are the sales so absolutely abysmal? Numbers don't lie

GMC Canyon is a real option but its numbers are abysmal as well.

Tacoma can't be doing well. Based on the posts on here, every engine is weak, and all the transmissions are garbage!

    Oh well!

You should see the F150 forums. Reading on there would make you believe that out of 1 Million trucks Ford sells per year 900,000 of them are lemons.

There are too many insecure pussies in America (see this thread as evidence) for the Ridgeline to sell better than it does. Buyers of that vehicle know what they need (just an AWD vehicle with a bed and some towing capacity) and don't give a fuck about impressing anyone with a false image a machoness of having a "real truck" that most likely will never be used for anything beyond what the Ridgeline is capable of. Toyota probably sells more 4WD Tacomas in a month that will be never be put into 4WD than Honda sells Ridgelines.

My beef with the Ridgeline is purely based on its price. The ridgeline Sport AWD for instance is priced pretty close to identically (when optioned as similarly as possible) to a Tacoma SR5 4x4 DCSB, and besides highway MPG, doesn't do much of anything better - yet I can think of a few things a Tacoma does better overall such as having a frame, real 4wd, better ground clearance, comes with a full size spare plus you can access it when your bed is full, better approach/departure angles even with the air dam, etc etc I could list a few more if I thought about it.

So considering the ridgeline is just as expensive - yes I think that turns off many of the people who say "I want a truck". If they look at the two side by side they see a better "value" in the Tacoma. They certainly know the Tacoma will be worth more in 5 years.

People can't just think it looks stupid? My dislike of the vehicle has zero to do with insecurities.

Do government, fleet, rental car sales count towards these number? If so, the GM twins are no where near the Tacoma. I work for the federal government, and they buy the GM garbage because they are cheap and heavily discounted. Most Tacoma sales are true retail sales that actually make Toyota money and do not cheapen the brand or resale value.

There was another thread somewhere, that I am not going to look for, about a month ago talking about how bad Toyota is doing since there were so many 17s left on the lot and how bad Toyota had produced too many vehicles. One of the reasons that the Tacoma is selling so well and in such big numbers right now is because they are actually able to produce enough to meet demand. In the past, they had trouble keeping production up to demand and did not have nearly enough days of supply on the ground. Now, they have increased production and sales are reflecting that. As these trucks get more expensive and Toyota offers more options and packages, people are going to adamant about getting the exact truck they want. Especially with the Tacoma that has a huge following of enthusiasts. The MSRP on my truck was nearly $41,000.00. When I am spending that much money, I am not going to settle for whatever truck is on the lot just because it is available. Either I get the exact truck I want, or I am not buying one.

Nothing? It’s the same body. Difference is the chassis and powertrian. They lump them together because they also lump the 1500,2500,and 3500 Chevy’s and GMC’s. Pretty sure GM is exactly the same. Same body and different chassis and power train. The 250 and 350 used to be a different body but the new generation they share them

Okay, so first the 4 cyl engine had to work too hard but now it's because the Ford 4 cyl has a turbo...... Look I don't like Fords but
