Out of curiosity i looked that up and came across Honda moving an MDX or something out of that production plant so that they could produce their anual sales target of 50,000 Ridgeline's, instead they have been suffering double digit sales declines for the past 9 or 10 months.

I'm genuinely curious what Honda's thoughts are on the Ridgeline at this point.

They probably just don't care very much. They are probably satisfied that the ridgeline fits the needs of a select few who otherwise might not have bought a Honda brand vehicle. The Pilot and CRV have strong numbers and the Accord and Civic sell in huge volumes so its not like they need the ridgeline to do well. I'd honestly expect them to keep their head high and pretend like the Ridgeline isn't a disappointment for atleast a few more years.

You may well be right, but I can't imagine a major manufacturer being happy with a vehicle in a white-hot segment not only selling a measly 2.69k, but having the YTD sales being down 28%. That's horrendous any way you slice it.

    This isn't some 2door niche vehicle. It's a Honda and a truck.

I'm more concerned about the mental health of the reviewers at Consumers Reports. "Why do these dipshits keep buying the Tacoma. Aggggghhhhhhhh!

Manual transmission has nothing to do with my self image. It about my self pleasure, when my own stick gets sore I can hop in my truck and play with its stick. Seriously, driving enjoyment. Every vehicle I have bought, except my 1st two when I was just driving, have all been manual transmissions, why, because it makes driving more enjoyable.

And the ridgeline is ugly! Yes my truck serves a purpose, but at 30 plus grand, I should like the way my vehicle looks.

Every Tacoma should be put in 4x4 every month just to keep shit lubed. And if they offered at least one manual out of the few hundred they sell every month, maybe other insecure American pussies would check it out. I mean manual trans and hidden beer cooler in the bed, how can you go wrong? Well besides the hacked up mini van thing.

The Ridgeline has a larger bed than the 5' Tacoma and wider than both SB and LB. The Ridgeline bed is 60"x 64" and Tacoma is 56"x 60". The bed is also wide enough for plywood to lay flat on the floor and the truck has a payload of 1586. The bed is one area where the Tacoma is not the winner. Plus a vast majority of the RL that are sold are AWD not FWD. Obviously I wont try to defend the styling and ground clearance. Either you like or you don't. Based of sale numbers way more people (including myself) prefer the Tacoma.
