Tacoma COLOR you wish Toyota made

Many moons ago when I was in high school, my dad painted my 85 yota p/u this unbelievable color of geen. It was a custom mixed color with pearl, and tons of metal flake mixed in. He brought it to work one night and the next time I saw it I almost fell on the floor it looked so good. Have yet to ever see a green look as good as that one, but I'm ok with my timberland mica for now.

 

Oh yes - My 99' was the goods.

 

Of the colors offered, I got the one I wanted which was blue ribbon metallic. But I like the black/yellow, metallic orange colors people posted here.

Gotta admit. I was always a little jealous of the trucks that the fender flares contrasted the paint color. They always blended a little too much with black.

I know this is a Tacoma forum, but I did love my Dakota!

 

speedway blue should make a return i think it would look great on the 12+ front ends

I really wanted the nautical blue metallic they are using on some new 4runners but had to settle on the blue ribbon. Don't get me wrong, I'm happy with it as it's not a common color. I'd be all over a satin white pearl like my WRX limited if it were an option.

 

+1 on this color! I think they make a Veloster this color also. A long time ago I had a slot car that I painted this color. (Anyone remember those?)

I'd love to see a Tacoma this color.

PSUnick, I hope you aren't saying they are the same color. If so, your monitor may need adjusting. The TRD Pro is orange-red crayon, the Vette is a beautiful metallic burnt orange gold. Toyota really needs to up their color game a bit IMHO.

Almost any FJ Trail Team color would be cool like Sandstorm, Cement grey, Heritage blue, Magna....

 

Blue Granite Metallic, Chev/GM made it for a while. I always really liked this colour, I bet the taco would look awesome in something similar.
