My 16 battery died few days after the 2 year mark and not one dealership agreed to replace it went and bought an adequate size battery from Costco!
On a side note I tried to jump start it out my buddy's corolla that had like a 300 ah and could not get it started my Benz 600 amph cranked it right up!
Also if you have the long thinner jumping cable won't work as well as the heavy shorter ones

I think I'd move if those temps happened often...

You actually climatize to it. When spring rolls around and it's 10c (50f) it feels like a heat wave.

How do you guys living in those temps keep your houses warm? What are your bills like?

We heat things the old fashioned way, we burn things. When the heating bill comes, we burn that too.

I lived/worked 'down south' in FL. (So. Bell) years ago. Had a 1:00 AM emergency 'call out' to a FP&L power facility once - the air temp was around 60-65 and I had a light jacket on. When my boss (a lifelong Floridian) showed up and got out of his truck he was wearing a snorkle parka with the hood up. When I asked him what was up with the parka he replied, "I'M COLLLDDDDD!"

It's one thing for them. But imagine dealing with people who live here and every year complain about the cold and snow as if it's something new and worse say they hate Canada for our weather but won't leave. They're fine with milking our system. And I'm not even referring to immigrants that just came here. I'm talking 2nd and 3rd gen Canadians. Nor can they drive as soon as there's a little snow.

    Most irritating fucks out there.
For me it's the opposite. I hate heat so I won't go anywhere near Florida, Texas, California, Arizona etc. I hate the month or two we get of 85-95f weather lol.

-5c to 20c is ideal for me. But I'm not bothered by the -30. Just need to dress accordingly

Dealership should have replaced the battery. It has a 3 year warranty. My wife’s Highlander Panasonic battery is on its 8th year and still has lots of cranking power.

I just ran my truck today after letting it sit for a week in mostly sub zero weather. Started and ran just fine.

I did get a new battery from Toyota last winter due to a bad cell. Covered under warranty.

If “often” means every winter then yup it happens very often.

I live in a basement suite in Canada with electric baseboard heat. Last billing cycle my entire electric bill was $36/month. Don't have AC, there might be two weeks in the year that I'd want it.

About 2 months after i bought my 2015 from the dealership, i had the same issue in extreme cold. ND guy here. I had to jump it twice in a week. Took it back to the dealership and they replaced it for free!
