Sub'd for the outcome, good luck.

I've never heard of a timing chain stretching or breaking. All the overhead cam engines I've rebuilt the timing chain and chainwheels were fit for service, I measured the chain for stretch.

I'm in for the solution. Would be nice if the tank was just empty. At least Toyota labels their fuses and relays for what they do unlike Chevrolet where fuse pcm B means fuel pump.

Our F150 had about 1/4 tank of gas and sitting on a hill "ran out of gas" idling...I think it basically got below the pump level and shut down, because when I got to level ground it was a lot more than 1/4 left in it...just a weird Ford thing I think though.

Everything on fords is weird. Don't even get me started on that 3.5 obomination they built.

I don't know much about the 3.5 Ecoboost. But my neighbor's F150 3.5 EB engine smokes a great deal. He bought it used and is not happy. I have no idea about warranty coverage

That's a possibility! Seriously though, I'm guessing OP knows way more about troubleshooting a car than the majority of us. At least more than me, that's for sure.

Did you try climbing under the truck and bang on the gas tank? Listen to see if it sounds dead empty!

Jeeeeeeez!!!! It was a joke. Calm down. I realize she definately knows what she's doing under the hood. Honestly, I'm VERY impressed with her mechanical abilities.
