I recently have been having to lock and unlock both driver side doors manually. The key works on the other doors but not those. Anyone know what could be wrong? and how to fix?

A dealership told me it'd be $1500 a door to fix but didn't tell me what was wrong.

    I laughed and walked out.

Door lock actuators are common on Toyotas, you need to make sure its getting a signal. You simply remove the door panel, put your finger on the actuator and feel if its trying to lock or unlock. Thats it.

Thanks I'll try this soon. Do you know where i would get replacements or how hard it is to replace those?

^^^ This was the problem I had with my 11 Prerunner. Replaced the actuators for less than $50 for 2 doors myself but that was a few years back. There are a bunch of YouTube videos out there to DIY, bit of a PIA but way better than having a mechanic do it.
