Comparing the Raptor to a Tacoma is definately comparing apples to oranges, I think. First off the Raptor is a bad ass truck, but it costs $15K more. On street comparison, is that the Raptor is alot faster, definately. On the down side, it averages about 11 MPG. It's wide as hell, so parking and driving anywhere in San Diego can be a pain in the ass. Offroading in sand or rough whoops, the Raptor will run off and leave a Tacoma (or any stock truck for that matter). On the other side, a Tacoma can go through alot more trails, because it is smaller. So far, the only time I have really said, "Holy Shit, I want a Raptor", is when we were out playing in Octillo and flying through the air. So far, we haven't taken the Raptor anywhere that I haven't taken my Tacoma to. The only difference is that the Raptor gets there alot faster, uses alot more gas getting there, and the truck payments are twice as much.

That 6.2 pushes like a diesel. I've driven one, very impressive.

I would love a raptor to: beat to shit out in the desert then take to ford to fix under warranty, and its would be more HP to tow my brother's Jeep to Arizona and back to SD.
Other than that I want my taco

Yeah Raptors are sick for sure but couldnt you just buy a prerunner, and get a way sick LT kit and some nice tires and then beat the raptor? Plus while saving some money and MPG's?

One more thing that I forgot to mention. The Tacoma can tow 6500 lbs stock. The RAPTOR can only tow 6000 lbs. HAHAHHAHAHA!!! I give my roommate shit about this all the time.

Bomb down washes at 80 I guess....

Hey guys I love my toy as much as anyone else & don't see myself ever getting rid of it but having the benefit from owning full sized 4x's from the big three in the past, I have to admit that it is refreshing to see that detroit can still put out a decent product & stand behind it (alledgedly)...:)

& admittingly it took 4 old rusty junkyard Ford springs (2 per side)to bring my stock 'Yota rear leafs back to life. So don't flame me too hard....:eek::D

I can do that. But I would probably break/hurt my truck.

How is that setup working out so far?

Sean, it is awesome didn't realize how truly soft they were until I got fed up finally (after Corral Canyon, go figure ) & just dropped my axle & kinda put myself in a committed situation where it was try rebuilding them without an aftermarket or Toyota AAL (what they gonna give me ? another weak ass 'yota spring?) or not drive at all... They seemed to have settled a bit but still at same height with that badass arc still in place... I'll break them down sometime next week & put some anti squeek Brake Pad spray (that sticky thick blue shit works pretty well & last for years, it did on my Dodge anyway)
