    For the buzzers...

You can get the buzzers turned off yourself with a knock off toyota cable. If I remember correctly, @FinnJ might be able to point you to which cable to get.

You could buy a Toyota approved Mongoose cable (~$500) and pay for a 48 hour Techstream subscription ($55) and do it your self.

You could take it to the dealer and pay them to turn the buzzers off.

You can find a dealer tech and pay them a few bucks on the side to turn them off.

You can also find a guy that has the Bully Dog tool from when they bought a Magnuson supercharger. The Bully Dog can turn the buzzers off.

I like the stuff on OP. I have one request... could you add "Calibrations in development" and put the ones known to not yet work? I just want to keep my code visible as needing some love...

AR goes to 9.6 before shift, the goes up to 10.6 for awhile until I get out of it.

The bully dog can do it with out flashing it’s tune? I have mine still in the box, I just never used it because I didn’t want to use that messed up tune.

After reviewing the post, YOU ARE CORRECT. You never mentioned being able to eliminate the buzzers. I stand corrected! Now as to things you said you can correct that I need...1. CEL (codes po420/po430). 2. Speed limiter eliminated. 3. Cleaning up the 9.6/rich afr before shifting and at wot. 4. 5 different tunes with handheld. And I believe you did say you could raise shift points a few hundred rpm and firm shifts up some.
How can we solve these? Do I need to download current tune and send it back to you, or what is the process?

if you can email this to me I will send you an updated file for the handheld.
No need to read the truck again or do anything. When I send the new file just put it on the handheld like the first one, it will over-write the old stuff.
do NOT use the erase function

    Yes it can

I deleted the buzzers when I originally loaded the Bully Dog flash. 2 ECUs later, still no buzzers. I think the buzzers stuff is stored in another module, not the ECU.

@OVTune, looks like the handheld SC tune is only for TRD flashed ECUs? Any plans to create a SC tune for a stock ECU when adding a SC without first having to hunt down a TRD flash? I'm getting the Magnusson, but the TRD flash from a dealer is not a sure thing anymore.

Get the Magnusson without the bully dog tuner. You don't need the TRD flash at all. The OV tuner is all you need. Just make sure you have the tuner ready to go when you do the supercharger install.

Okay, that's what I originally thought after reading the thread, just wanted to be sure after OP was updated with the ECU list and only the TRD ECUs were listed under SC. Good to know the SC handheld isnt limited to those TRD flashed ECUs once all IDS are added. I get it now...thanks.
Will save me money and the hassle of finding a TRD flash unless I get the SC installed before my ECU is added to OVTUNE handheld...then I may want the TRD flash to play around with in the meantime!

Connect to truck and all the handheld says is that “test app 2.0 is running. touch screen to test”

Touching the screen produces a beep and then nothing happens.

So, I figure I need to try updating it first. On to the ovtune website. Download the instructions (nothing but device care instructions in the box).

    DD4C52EE-604D-4123-8D90-18D2580A7F32.jpg EA6B5333-43C0-44D3-BB9D-ED68470F2198.jpg
The online instructions have a link to click to update the handheld. Download the software and load it onto my pc. Fire it up and it instantly sees the already connected handheld (via usb). It then says that it’s an “unconfigured device, it cannot be used” clicking the ok button closes the entire ovtuner 1.31.0 program down. Screen on the handheld still says the same as when connected to the vehicle.

From what I understand, this handheld is a newer model. Maybe the ovtune software needs to be updated to work with the new handheld?

Assuming your PC has active connectivity to the internet...open OVTune program on PC then connect handheld and it should automatically download all the updates for both the PC and Handheld and install in both.

Software won’t get past the unidentifiable device error. Starting the software without the handheld connected has it searching for a device constantly with no option to cancel. Yes, the pc is hardwired to my router. Internet is fine.

Playing with the handheld, it seems like maybe the screen isn’t working correctly. Touching different parts of the screen produces beeps, but, the screen doesn’t change. A9FB1067-CC69-41C2-B958-264175C831D0.jpg

I would email Mat and see what he has to say about this. My guess would is the pc program needs an update to recognize the new handhelds.
I will say I had to go into the options and do the screen calibration on my handheld as I could not select anything in the bottom right corner, after calibrating the screen it worked fine.
