the handhelds are the same the only difference is the calibration between the two. all the handheld is doing is read/write functions.

The handheld actually doesn’t read any of the files off the ecu. The stock tunes are also different. Vehicles with trd flashes have bigger tables, so I assume with the bigger tables you can more finely tune things. I don’t think he has said if the handheld can upgrade NA stock flash to larger table version in the trd flashed ecu. So as far as why you can’t upgrade NA to SC that is my guess.

i does not matter if the calibrations are different. the handheld can store 6 different calibrations and these 6 calibrations can be changed by a PC with the included PC software. so i would like to see an option to buy one handheld and buy all the available tunes (na and sc) or buy the na tunes and buy the s/c tunes as an option later on.

so the question is how much is the handheld vs the tunes cost. lets assume the handheld is $200 and the na tunes are $300 and the sc tunes are $350. so i would like to see an option to buy one handheld, na and sc tunes for $850 as package instead of buying two handhelds w/ na and sc tunes for $1,050?

Same, my right rear tire shows about 30% more wear(open diff) then the other 3, because of the urges.

Hey Mat, is it possible that the NA tuner can support 30442300? I thought mine was 30442200 but when I plugged a scanner, it said I had 30442300 @OVTune

You need to email the the calibration number to him and he will submit it to be added in an update for the handheld.

Found two numbers on my ECU.

    52402808
    and
    030132361A

Believe top one should be right one for OVTune.

    Can someone confirm please.

The numbers on the ecu will not tell you the calibration ID

Looks like a Gen2.5 TRD Sport, but really an '08 TRD OffRoad
    TRD Supercharged / OTT Tuned

The #s on the ECU is just the Toyota part # of the actual ECU (hardware/computer brain). The ecu calibration file (target calibration ID) is the software on the ecu/computer. An OBD-II reader should be able to tell you what calibration ID file is currently being used by your ECU.

Your two numbers are incorrect for Calibration IDs.
