He emailed me this morning saying that they can overwrite the BD tune. Also said the BD tune is a version of the TRD tune.
KRave is working towards gettign to Dyno tuning but its a ways off. The are the OV dealer for Canada from what it sounded like this morning talking to them dropping the truck off.
My truck will be getting tuned this week if all goes well. Its there right now if you wanted to stop by.

What kind of mileage are you seeing? By truck runs consistently around 12 and even worse if its windy etc.

His email to me this morning said they can overwrite it.

Thanks for the response. OV said the same to me so I ordered the software this morning. Didn't know about KRave being OVTune authorized before but if they can do custom dyno tuning in the future I'll have to pay them a visit. My truck still needs a years worth of upgrades before I'd step up to a fully custom tune anyways lol.

Just googled KRave and laughed when I saw all the tacos in their pics! My kind of place. Pretty busy with work during the week otherwise I would check it out.

Super dope truck by the way!

I'm running 2.6" with FPR mod. My AFR's don't go that rich anymore since I went from 2.8 to 2.6. I see 10's except during a shift or the instant I come off the gas. I have the 2.5" on my bench at home. Waiting to upgrade my valve body before I add that pulley.

Did you change the converter because of shudder? I think I'm seeing that right at lock-up at about 1500 rpm.

I changed out my torque converter when my flex plate grenaded on me. And I am very impressed with the upgrade there's no Sutter it holds gears going uphill that is with the upgraded valve body feels like it does put a lot more power to the ground

I've heard horror stories of lvl10 stuff.. definitely interested to see how that converter holds up for you. Did you go with a higher stall? That's really the only thing making me want one.. but even then.. It would only be really useful at the sand drags. daily driving it would kinda be a nuisance. I Looked into them when I was chasing my converter issues a few years ago. I ordered a flexplate thinking I had a crack in mine.. pulled the Trans.. and it was fine. put the new one in anyways, but still had issues. ended up just replacing with an OE converter. I believe it was the torrington bearing. all good now. even with the valve body upgrade.

so.. I have an extra flexplate if anybody needs one.

I'm probably around four thousand miles on the new torque converter. From what I noticed it feels like it does help put the power to the ground I'm running 35 with long travel and when I'm going up a hill it's not searching for Gears so it's holding pretty good I like the way it shifts with the valve body shift kit it's a good kick in the ass

The re-gear will take care of the hanging and searching for gears.. 100%.

I just don't see the TC yielding the same results as a re-gear. I'm a huge proponent of re-gears now. After doing everything else to the truck.. and then a re-gear.. IMO the re-gear should be the first thing done. Most impact and best bang for the buck.
