How would a tune adjust valve timing? For a supercharged truck... Why would I let you tune my ECU when I can get the factory reflash from Toyota that’s designed for the supercharger? Ok so you can adjust my fuel ratio, where else are my gains coming from? This post smells fishy.

So I’m not savvy enough to rattle off specifics.....the TRD tune is mega rich. Mats tune tweaks this as well as other helpful things. In the end the truck will run smoother, quicker, and flat out a little better. If you want total control of what you want tuned go with HPtuners. Lastly, if the post is fishy.......then don’t use ovtune, no ones begging you homie.

You're a little bit late to the party. OVT is an improvement to the TRD supercharger reflash. This is proven.

Most people are now attempting self tuning with HP Tuners.

It’s proven like YOU proved it? Based on your dyno results, there’s definitely a difference, just not as much as I would hope to see. Especially with that fuel ratio. Also why did the test only go to 4800 rpm? Just curious.

Gotcha. Yeah I’m just curious about the specifics. What exactly is being adjusted, and what effect does it have. Pros? Cons?

I understand there's 200+ pages to read on this thread but its been hashed out before. So yes, i did spend money to PROVE what most people felt with OVT. And yes, the real chassis dyno did prove a numerical difference which substantiated what the butt dyno felt with OVT.

And why my dyno only went to 4800? That answer is also in my thread. I didnt ask OVT to remove the speed limiter so my dyno pull hit the limiter. And you're correct, i wish my dyno pull was longer rpm-wise because I would have probably seen a few more extra ponies.

Hey guys sorry for any delays, a lot of stuff going on with all this dyno development right now. We plan to get out a bunch of updates this month and some more dyno time with the 4.0 shortly after

    My shit is all stock.
There are many aspects of the TRD tune that are not optimal. Mat smoothes things out and tweaks things to suit not only your modifications, but he makes the truck just plain drive better. He’s pretty much got full control of the ecu. So, to answer your question; valve timing (vvt), afr, spark, and fuel to mention the basics. Also, full transmission control.

Updates will be sent out to everyone as soon as we can. We are working on everything as fast as possible. These last 2 weeks have been very irregular in terms of when we get back to stuff because I have a baby on the way..

    @OVTune
I downloaded the new version of p5flash and sent the update data as requested a week ago.
I sent the info to "support+id7937@ovtune.zendesk.com" as well as just "support@ovtune.zendesk.com"
    Please confirm.

    Order#4618.

Also, if my ECU needs an update, does that affect my ability to flash back to the Toyota tune in the future? By update, do you mean an official TSB update that allows the OVTune to be applied?

Can you PM me your email?

I searched by your order number and order name and cannot find anything

Yes our software will update your ECU with an official toyota update while also installing the tune.
When you flash back to stock, you'll flash to the stock tune of that toyota update.

So for example if your ECU ID is ... 4402... and there is an update to 4403, when you install the tune it will be 4403. When you flash back to stock, it will be stock 4403

Can I use the SC 4.0L flash kit on my completely stock NA ECU after installing the supercharger?
