With a setup such as yours I don't think it is a good idea to dial ignition up without seeing some logs and custom tuning.

ok, I’ll leave it be at the 91 tune. Only other thing I’d like to know is, Is there any way to get you data logs being that I just have a handheld?

A couple more days of solid driving and messing around. In a nut shell......

Truck drives awesome. Still keeping an eye on AFR’s seems to not be as rich as it initially was the first drive. It most definitely has more getty up. This is exactly how the truck should’ve ran out the box with the blower. Give it some pedal, more than just a little and boost kicks right in. Nice and quick with the 2.7. Rev hang is barely there if at all.

Hate to say it, but TOLD YOU SO... ;)

Have you deleted your Clutch Accumulator yet? If not, do it ASAP! It makes the S/C goodness even better. :burnrubber:

Na man it don’t bother me to remind me about being last on these mods. I get it. I just want it to be safe. If I see going to 2.6 is as safe as 2.7 I may do that as well. In all honesty the way it feels now is perfect, and perfect for me. The 2.825 I knew wasn’t that great when I initially put it on. I was just too paranoid to go smaller for reliability purposes. I haven’t gotten to the clutch accumulator yet.....I’ll PM you about that one.....

I figured I may as well raise my inquiry here. Currently on the V2 tune for the supercharged 4.0. Any updates for the forced induction with automatics since then?

Not sure, if it’s a handheld you can plug it in and it will update to the latest version. If you have the other one, flash kit I believe. I’m sure there is a way it updates as well.

Shit bolted onto other shit, and junk.
I believe he is asking for tune updates not firmware.

I haven’t heard of any recent updates to the 4.0. I used it in March of this year it was fairly new then but mostly 3.5 work released since that time from OV.

Yeah, im running V2 tune also. But there is a tune for the 2.7 pulley. Which i *think* is different from V2?

    @OVTune can you clarify?

Thanks. We will be back in full swing Nov 15th.
We have quite a few things we've been working on patch wise (if you are following our Tundra dev at all). A lot coming to both the 4.0 and 5.7 as the logic is shared

Noticed on your website that November 15th was the day. Can't wait to see what we can do with our 4.0's!

for people interested in self tuning

    forum.toyotacal.net.
The Toyotacal handhelds will allow for self tuning,
our toyotacal software will incorporate some stuff we do, like patching, as it grows.

    OVTune,

I have been reading all this thread. Lots to read, lots of great stuff from what I have read. Nothing like this happens over nite!

Some of the guys here have been quite unfair about this and I suspect they have been maybe out of their depth with this and need to stay in the shallow end, if not on the porch all together.

I did send you an email on your website a few minutes ago and look forward to doing business with you, with any help you have for my 2015 Tacoma 4.0L. Its a bad example of a Tacoma if you ask me...

I had a 2003 V6 that pulled as good as this much nicer truck I have now, and my 03' got better mpg. Never would I expected this :)

So anything you can do is going to be awesome with me, and I am very realistic with what you don't have to work with for as the crap for fuel we have and the California emissions standard that my truck has.

Its not really funny at all to me when my truck is a Texas addition truck! Badged, and never been out of the state of Texas, and this truck has California emission standards... Thanks to the state of California and all their wisdom trying to breath flowers out the tailpipe of my truck, its the sickest thing I have ever seen for everything else on this truck to be so nice.

I truly think the state of California should pay me the msrp for this truck! I would be glad to load a 5 gallon bucket of Vaseline to help them pick this truck up... Being California and all :)

So anything you can do, will be well received and appreciated... I am also retired and have more time on my end with anything I need to do to my truck physically, to help you guys.

Its strait up stock right now, I have put smaller diameter tires on it, in hope of this giving more pulling power and throttle response! It did nothing but slow my speed-o-meter 3%...

So, I am willing to do whatever you need me to. We have no exhaust sniffing crap here, heck I even buy the no alcohol fuel for this truck. That other crap we can think our government for...

I know you can't make this a 600 hp truck with 600 foot pounds of torque, as I feel some of the guys here do. I don't even need this truck like that. I have a diesel truck for that!

The simple 87 octane tune and it just run nice is good enough for me, anything extra, well that will be awesome. It would just be nice for it to get out of its own way!!! :)

Thanks so much in advance and look so forward to hearing what you can do...
