Have you guys yet concluded what the maximum Injector size is that say the TRD s/c map is capable of using? If an owner of the self tuner wants to upgrade their injector size.

As well as any recommendations for a brand of larger injector?

    Asking for a friend. ;)

I feel like theoretically you could run any size injector and just lie to the software about the size. Now you'll be back to oldschool tuning by the seat of your pants since the fuel values won't correlate to what's actually happening, but all the ECU really does is send on/off signals to them. But if you step up a few sizes you should be able to get away with reducing your fuel values across the board.

Of course this is a terrible idea, but it's doable.

Negative. @OVTune already stated that there was a max size, just didn't say what it was.

Right, but again the ECU doesn't need to know the size, all it's doing is sending on/off signals, it isn't handshaking with each injector and asking it to identify itself and verifying the injector matches what it thinks should be there, it has no idea what it's sending signals to. Hypothetically if you doubled the injector size and halved all your fuel values your engine should run about the same. Of course it's more nuanced in practice.

That friend is myself @OVTune lol

I will need to be performing an injector swap here soon and I do need to know if I'll be able to run 660cc injectors without software interference.

Are you still keeping the UCON? If so, you can get quite large injectors. Larger than the OEM ECU can support.

This ECU gives the user a lot of power over fueling.

for example lets say you have your fueling "close" but have a rich or lean spot you want to make a fuel adjustment directly.

There are maps based on RPM and Load where you can modify the injection amount directly by a multiplier to add or substract any amount of fuel large or small.

TOP image is a "tuned" version of the stock map BELOW

I've been in and out of this thread so I apologize if I missed where it might be posted. Any idea what increases we're looking at? I'm not expecting Supercharger performance, or Prius mpg. (On Stock vehicles, I'm years off F.I.)

I appreciate the clarification. Thank-you! Do you think when they're dyno'ed it can be added to the first post so we won't have to go digging for it? @OVTune
