What does this mean exactly as far as the supercharged trucks??

Once we receive the handheld, we just need to plug it in and choose the tune we want? Or. Do we still have to plug it in, download what the ecu says then email it back to you @OVTune ???

I promise I went back to try and look for the answer... So how this works is, you buy the handheld tuner, plug it in, get your ECU model, email OVTune the model and mods and the tune you want, and he emails you your tunes? Just trying to understand lol

Subbed and message sent. I know I'm late to the party, but it sounds like since the 2nd gens are all single vvti, do we not get the new handheld?

So I have a trip report for yall. This weekend I went to las vegas after just putting on my new tires which are just under double the weight of the stock setup.

So last year when I went to vegas on stock tires and I don’t remember my exact mods (TRD Tune) but I got 18.1 on the way to vegas and 18.7 on the way home.
Tires I put on are 285/75r17 E rated which is about 33.9” tall

So after the ovtune: on the way there I got 15.1 MPG
I was fighting a strong head wind most of the way there and going up all the hills, it felt like for ever. I feel like I would have got atleast 17 mpg if that headwind wasn’t there

    On the way back:
18.3 mpg, doing mostly 75-80 mph depending on where I was at.

Just thought that would be interesting for some people because the tires I have now are a lot heavier and we are still on winter gas.

Haven’t seen much activity in here, I figured some more people would be getting their tunes by now.

How much weight in aftermarket gear do you figure you have on your truck (bumpers, skids, armor, etc.)?

I just put an aftermarket plate bumper on in december, it weighs around 120 pounds, and I also have sliders. Stock skids right now

That's excellent mileage for those tires (and a corresponding lift I assume). A lot of guys with that kind of setup would be getting like 12/13/14 with winter gas, 75-80mph and the lift/tires.

I wonder what kind of mileage a stock truck will see? I bet it will be impressive.

I swear this tune gets a lot better mpgs at 70+ mph than the stock tune did. Also my lift is not very much, maybe around an inch in the front. Only like 3-4threads of preload on my kings in the front w/ 600# springs.
