    Does anyone know if I can get a factory OEM remote start system from another model and make it work on my Tacoma?

    Nope they don't make them, at least for the second gens. I got some piece of shit Clifford brand 2 way remote. I would suggest to save your money and just deal with going outside and turning it on manually.

    I bought my truck used and it has a remote start. I have no idea what brand it is, the remote is some generic enclosure from a company that sells remotes (I looked it up online). Not sure where to look to find it as until I posted on TW I had thought it was factory installed, but I'm more than happy to look and try to find out if someone could tell me where to guess to look? :)
