The FJ's are sweet. I've only had my Tacoma under a month though :)

Getting tint and new stereo tomorrow. Need to have it for a couple years.

Eeek, the woman would be an emotional roller coaster [as if she's not already :p], because she loves my truck, but really wants an FJ.

I just couldn't make the trade as much as I/she like the FJ... Buy one in the future? Now that's a possibility

I wouldn't trade. I love the looks of the Tacoma and you never know when you might need the space of the open bed. In my opinion they are ugly in stock form but I've seen several modded ones that look badass.

I'd never trade my tacoma for an FJ. The whole reason I got a Taco is I needed a truck and I use it as a truck. Now if I could get an old FJ40 as a toy... then we'd be talking.

We drove an 11 FJ last week. Rides a little better than the Tacoma but the rear visibility is terrible. They need to bring the windows further around toward the front. though it has the Dual VVT-i with more HP, i couldn't tell much difference from my tacoma. Probably weighs more.

Tacoma is stock and staying that way, Pickup is TBA as of now.
i would but there are a few things i do not like about the FJ, they are bulky and have lots of blind spots, dont drive too well on the road like the Taco does, can only have a manual transmission on a full time 4x4 model, i wont drive an automatic. The gas milege and safety ratings are not as good. For an offroad toy though I would get one for sure, daily driver, no way. They are one badass looking rig though, definately have a big "get the fuck out of my way" look to them! lol

    dear god people...
small stick on fish eye (lack of the proper term) mirrors solve the "blind spot" complaint.

shit....am I defending an FJ on a taco forum :crapstorm:

I'm planning on trading in my truck in a year or so for an FJ. I don't use my bed for anything the back of an FJ couldn't be used for.

I agree when I drove the FJ the blind spots were terrible. But they offer larger side mirrors for towing, that helped quite a bit.

    I <3 your FJ. :)

I do have to say though, stock FJs are pretty ugly. They only look good when you mod them. Yours is a freaking beast John. :D

my dad has an fj and its great for rock crawling but its lifted and has a heavy rack on top so you cant take turns fast or even think about drifting in it. if i had to choose just one i would keep my tacoma because im in the desert alot and hate slowing for turns.
