The recall is not over. Don't let anyone tell you that. I just got mine back 2 days ago. They replaced frame, leaf springs, brake lines, etc... $11,000 worth of parts, didn't cost me a dime. They told me the recall will end in March/2020. It was simple; I called them, gave them my VIN, they said yes it is included. Bring it in and we'll take pictures and send them to Toyota Corp,. and they will get back to us. They called me in 5 days, saying yes my frame will be replaced for free. The dealer told me that if there is 10 mm. or more of rust-through, that makes you eligible. Mine had several inches and several places where I could put my fist. YIKES!. They ordered the frame, got it in, in exactly 3 weeks/1 day. They called me, I took it in Monday morning, they were finished Wednesday afternoon and I picked it up Wednesday evening. Looks and rides great now. However, they did say I had 4 leaks that need attention. I opted out, because just the labor would cost me $3,100. Not going there. I will get it done at my local neighbor garage. Good Luck with yours. My experience was really outstanding. I know everybody's is not..... Don't know what to say. As they say, there are only issues when you get people involved.

It's over for me, though I don't have hardly any rust right now. It went until Jan 1, 2019 or 12 years from the in service date, whichever came first. Unfortunately both of those have passed for me.

Uhhhhh.... Maybe I didn't understand them correctly. Maybe they meant it would be over for ME in March/2020, since that would be 12 years on my truck, and not everyone's. Thanks for pointing that out.

Yeah no worries. Glad you're still safe even with that big of holes in your frame, that could have been real bad in a wreck!
