I'll have to check my allpros but I've never had those issues with mine. Guess I'll have to get under mine and check. Been running allpros for a year and half now with HH for a about a year. Only issue I had was running stock length shackle with stock bushing, the shackle wouldn't rotate as much and allow for droop. Once I replaced with Archive bushing it rotated.

What about using AllPro Expo leafs with these hangers? any feedback on the pairing of your hangers with those? (SOA configuration.) Use stock or Hammer shackles? What would be the difference between the stock and aftermarket shackles?

That's what I'm running with stock length. Stock vs aftermarket shackle differemce is length and bushings. But Archive sells the bushing to replace the stock ones. I like my setup. I didn't see a need to buy aftermarket shackle unless you dont have the tools to replace the bushing.

Ok, so stock bushing needs to come out of the stock shackle. I'm running extended length shocks (2" non resi Walker Evans that AllPro used to sell with these springs) in stock mounting points for the extra 3" lift from the Expos, and have parts on the way to rebuild those shocks. I was thinking doing the hangers next, then maybe upgrade the shock mounting to allow for new 12" travel shocks to take advantage of the increased droop travel.

For stock mounting the best shock would be the bilstien b110s. They are a pretty long shock. Not sure the specs on your Walker Evan's but I would consider those if you dont want to do the work involved with running a 12 or longer travel shock.

Update after driving it for a couple of days. WOW. Huge increase in how smooth the truck is. Although I might have lost just a hair of height in the rear end. But that could maybe be because I went with the shackles also and not just reused my factory one. But it is super smooth now. The rear end in not getting jarred going over bumps like it was before. The rear used to hop pretty good when I hit a speed bump at 30 (the speed limit) and now it just takes the hit and soaks it up like the front end has done for years. But also pretty sure my rear Dakar's with the extra add a leaf are totally shot. They are flat with just my rear bumper with swing away and camper shell. Overall, I love the Hammer Hangers and they are built very well!

Yes, already have the Walker Evans shocks (10" travel) with the Expo leafs, and been running that setup for the last 5 years. Shocks need a rebuild now, and parts for that are enroute; expect to be able to do that work myself. Because of monies, looking at doing the Hangers first, then possibly new mounts for 12" shocks in the future while I continue to work with these shocks. I was very happy with the ride change when the spring & shock upgrade was done. Washboard forestry roads at speed take their toll though. Collecting the parts. budget to upgrade gearing from 3.91 to 4.30 and put in limited slip torsen carrier up front, and rear as well.

I was thinking limit straps for my 5160's but the B110's are 30$ cheaper.

A whole lotta parts that are not on the truck.
5160s are only really good for stock height on stock leafs. 5165s however, are the same shock but you can order specific stroke-travel lengths. All depends if you want a reservoir or not. I don’t think it does that much in a 2.0, especially with monotube-gas shocks.

    thanks @ARCHIVE

Eric, this is a great improvement, and had i known i never would have waited so long. goodbye jitters. i run E tires in the stock diameter, 265/65-17, and those tires are like driving on 4 little rocks. this has really smoothed it all out. the quality feel is now complete with the rear catching up to the front now regarding ride quality.

So I would like to place an order on these but wanted to see if these potential issues would affect the hangers negatively. My current rear suspension set up is tsb rear leafs, defined engineering rear brace, and Bilstein 5160 rear shocks. I plan to add energy suspension bushings for the rear leafs and a rear sway bar. Maybe a panhard bar but very unlikely. I would also like to keep my banks catback unmodified from clearance issues. Any insight is appreciated.

    Hey Robert

The stock springs are great with HH, the 5160 are fine. The Defined bar wont fit, but I offer a cross tube option. Sell the Defined bar. And you should not need to trim the exhaust if similar to stock. Pan hard bar isn't needed, sway is reduced by HH. PM'd you TW discount

Anyone try these on a stock height Pro?
I switched to fox pro shocks and they definitely eliminated most of the rear chatter, still have some if the surface conditions are just right.

Also get a condition when at times it feels like the rear isn’t planted.
This isn’t when the rear is chattering, more on smooth surfaces. Transition changes, winding mountain roads. Get a vague not planted feeling for a second and then it is fine.
    Anyone else?

Sounds like you're describing sway during transition changes and it is due to the stock hangers flexing

I don’t think there’s any circumstance where these aren’t a huge upgrade. I’m saving up for these, new leafs, and brake lines. Look forward to a more stable rear end
