Yeah, I guess if I end up with too much rake I can always add more lift in the front or maybe remove a leaf.

Any idea as to how much lift i would get with 500lbs constant load and the medium duty 4+1 pack? Im trying to end up with 1.5” lift in the rear

sure thing man they have a pretty high arch so they get more lift without needing a crazy heavy pack (although still beefier than dakars) so they still ride pretty good unloaded as well.

I’m pretty interested in these. I had been planning on new Dakar springs, but I’m curious how these would perform. I’m guessing I’ll have around 400 pounds as base weight and then adding another 300 for trips. Maybe more... but it’s also my DD

@Arcticelf upgraded from a set of Dakar’s to these and really is enjoying them. Maybe he will chime in be he said it was a huge upgrade in load carrying and ride quality compared to those

Loving my HD pack. Even not loaded down they are smooth. No bone jarring bumps

I'm running a DCLB, and keep 300# or so in the bed at any given time. Running completely empty, or with that base weight these springs ride much better than the Dakars. Two differences I think: 1 is i got a little more up-travel out of these; 2: the spring rate is more linear. The combination means I'm not hitting the bump stops as often, and the response is smoother through the travel range.

Loaded with another 400# of gear it's the same story, I loose a little ride height, but its still smooth and handles bumps and holes well. With the same shocks the truck is much more stable fully loaded as well, with the Dakar pack it was getting wallowy and unstable because there wasn't much left before the bump stops.

And they're just stock length for the 98? Was also toying with the idea to go with the Chevy 63s but have heard those carry a load well on these trucks.
