Like many of you guys who use your Tacoma as your hunting rig, I've only taken mine out a couple of times and I'm really not happy with how I've set it up. In addition, I'm seriously considering getting a hard tonneau cover. In many ways this addition makes me think that the setup will be even more critical since I don't want to be opening and closing it a bunch of times when I'm near my hunting area. I typically carry my crossbow, treestand, and a Plano Sportsman Camo Storage Trunk to hold my backpack and clothing, which I change into when I get to my spot.

I'm really interested to hear how and where you store your things.

I had a shell. Best thing I ever did to my taco. Dogs don't have to be kenneled, don't have to worry about things blowing out. The only bummer is you cant fit a ton of junk, and a body back there with the tailgate up, and the glass down. Couldn't fit something like an elk back there either.

My dads buck from last year.

Here's what my truck looks like loaded up for a week long bird hunting trip. I have wire crates folded up and stored upright up front in the bed. When unloaded and actually hunting they both fit side by side between the wheel wells. I have nothing in the back seat...the dogs ride there on to & from trip.

    Some really cool shit
Just bought my first Tacoma 31 August. Putting on a shell and a bed slide.
Will use vehicle for camping and fly fishing, but do hunt birds, pigs, and deer. First trip was today to Hastings Island for some planted pheasant hunting. This is good training for me and my two year old GSP. Getting ready for wild bird season in a couple months. More pictures to come as I get the bed slide and camper shell installed.

I have a cap, Cabelas ice sled. deer goes in it and makes it easy to slide in the bed, When I get home I just slide it out into the garage, hoist up the deer and all scrapes, hide and head go in it. Lift to slide everything into trash bag. No mess, wash out with hose. Airtight tote for archery clothing, No gas cans go in the back of my truck during hunting season. Under rail LED lights, Nice and quite. Tacoma's bed sides are too low for a tonneau cover.

That's a beautiful dog don. Myself, I just pile everything I need in the bed. No real method to my madness. My dad has a cap on his silverado, it does come in handy.
