Can not thank you enough, OP for making that spreadsheet!

This spreadsheet was gold during my Taco search. Wanted a 6 speed manual/Sport/Access Cab in Lunar Rock and made calls often. Either the truck was pre-sold or wouldn't sell to out of state customers. One dealer took down my info and they called m3 a month later stating the customer could not get financing so they offered it to me at MSRP. Borrowed neighbor's GMC 2500 and a car trailer and had that Taco loaded up by Saturday morning after driving 7 hours north through the night.

I'm not computer savvy enough to make good use of the spreadsheet (I've tried, I swear).
Would love to find a grey 2023 Tacoma TRD Pro within 500 miles of SC. Zip code 29206.
    I'll take either transmission.
If anybody knows of one please pm me. If I can make a deal on it- I'll send you a $200 Amazon gift card.

I'll take the latest spreadsheet inventory and separate out just the grey pro's....I don't know how to then figure out which ones are within 500 miles of zip code 29206. But you will at least have a list that just shows what trucks you are looking for. The problem is going to be finding one without a market adjustment.

I'll do this at lunch today.

All the dealers with numbers in the 4000's are California.
    The 37,000's are Pennsylvania
    29,000 is New Jersey

    Autotrader may show some....?

    Brian

I can ask at the dealer tomorrow if they have any coming in....?

    Thanks,
I'll try to sort through it.
The first one (posted separately) didn't show at a particular dealer. Submitted a inquiry through the toyota site.
I'll check auto trader. Checked cargurus, cars.com and toyota.com.
    Thank you

I have an deposit on an in coming allocation in my 2nd color choice. Going to keep looking for grey until it arrives.

The single one posted above is at Peter Boulware Toyota of Columbia. You just have to keep selecting dealers in the drop down list till it pops up.

I'm headed to the airport in about 20 minutes for the flight to pick mine up.

Wanted to say thank you to OP for providing this info. I could not find my ideal Taco anywhere local, or in my territory. Upon finding this thread, I discovered there were only 3 in the US (this was verified a few times by different dealers who were willing to do searches of their territories for me). So I bought one. Thanks again.

Wind Chill Pearl is the rarest. 0.24% of all colors. Comes only on Sport and Limited. Limited WCP is 0.06% of all colors, TRD Sport WCP 0.18%.

@Barsoom is this from just the current data or did you find a way to query data across all Tacomas made since some date? Asking because I'd love to know how many M/T Tacoma's are being made with 6ft beds in 2023. Local dealer told me it'd be about 0.6% of all 2023 Tacomas and that it'd be nearly impossible to get one. They tried to sell me a DCSB M/T Pro instead. Other dealers in the region were a bit more encouraging, but didn't have an allocation and couldn't find another dealer willing to "trade" with them.

FWIW, I ended up building a search using shop.roadster.com, which is the provider for Toyota's "express purchasing" platform: essentially an all-online, shipped-to-your-door purchasing option. In theory, a truck showing up through the Roadster site is being sold by a dealer that has explicitly opted into remote sales. This is how I found my 2023 AC M/T (in Space Dirt Lunar Rock), though I did the deal on the phone. Lower markup than my local dealer offset the shipping, but registration was a bit of a hassle. No complaints in the end. Two notes:
    • trucks will show up on that Roadster site that have already been sold, which seems to be the case with all these inventory tools
    • the one AC M/T currently showing in the @_kmg_ flat-data site (Ice Cap) isn't the same as the one Tacoma showing in the Roadster site (Barcelona Red), so again: there's definitely lag and reconciliation between the different tools

Also @_kmg_: thanks for making this available! I wish I'd seen this thread when I was shopping, it's a an awesome tool!

From the 2021 fall worksheets when I was looking for my truck.
It would be possible to get a year worth of spreadsheets, eliminate the duplicate entries and calculate the %s. Use Filters in Excel to narrow your choices.

Here's how you can get a distance calculation between dealers and some fixed point you enter:
Get the nationwide dealers spreadsheet here:
    https://flatgithub.com/kissmygritts/flatdata-vehicle-inventory?filename=dealers.csv

Download the csv file (lower right, click on csv with download arrow) and open it in Excel, save as xlsx file.

As of 3-28-23 this file has 8 columns (A-H) and 1203 rows including the header row.

In cell I1, type: Miles from my lat-lon
In cell J1 type My Lat
In cell K1 type My Lon
In cell L1 type Desired max distance, miles

(see screen grab at bottom of this post)

Then go to google maps or any other tool where you can get lat-lon coordinate of your location, or some location that serves as the hub for the mileage measures (https://www.google.com/maps)

Move to your desired location within google maps and right click to get the lat-lon coordinates (in the US the Lon will be the negative number)
Enter those coordiates in the excel file:

(Example of a post office in Denver)
Enter 39.738165 in cell J2 (under My Lat)
Enter -104.993341 in cell K2 (under My Lon)

Next, copy and paste this formula into cell I2:

    =ACOS(COS(RADIANS(90-G2)) * COS(RADIANS(90-$J$2)) + SIN(RADIANS(90-G2)) * SIN(RADIANS(90-$J$2)) * COS(RADIANS(H2-$K$2))) * 3959

Then hover over the lower right corner of cell I2 and double click it to fill this formula down into all remaining rows.

Once you have this you can sort the list by column I (miles from your entered location) or you could apply conditional formatting based on the desired max distance in miles that you enter in cell L2. To do that, click on Column I to highlight that entire column, then click on "conditional formatting" in the Home tab, then "Highlight cell rules" then "less than" then click your mouse in cell L2, then click OK.

You can now change cell L2 to whatever value and the cell highlighting will change accordingly.

Screen grab after doing the above:

This is seriously smart and really handy if you want a particular Gen3 as Toyota starts paring back certain combinations later this year in preparation to convert the lines over to Gen4.

Anyone have any idea why the nationwide dealers list shows nothing for Hawaii? After 60 days of patiently waiting for my "Tacoma Sport Order" - my local dealer explained that he has no idea of production date or shipping date for my "order" VERY FRUSTRATED with this "Toyota allocation" process. Don't want to wait forever...

Hello and thank you for taking the time to put this information together. I am looking to find a new 2023 Tacoma TRD Pro in MT black color. Does the spreadsheet update daily? Wondering what's the best approach to finding one this late in the game...

Might want to check you queries, results now showing multiple lines with same VIN - 2 or 3 or even 4 lines for same vehicle.
file for 6/1 shows 4 trucks with VIN 3TYRZ5CN8PT030215 - everything looks same except the packages...

My dream truck is a TRD Sport Access Cab in Blue Crush - but odds are not in my favor.....
