No, unfortunately I didn't buy my other Tacoma from my insurance company. I wish I did tho. The engine still ran great, and only had only 41,000 miles on it , there was still a lot of good parts on her.

Thanks guys for all the replys back on my accident.
Ruggybuggy said that my new truck looked like my old one. Even the wheels !!!! Lol
Well, you're right. Except she's 2 years younger, and the color. Also had fog lights, and the nicer factory radio. Where I'm from, there isn't a lot of used Tacomas running around that people want to sell. They seem to want to hang onto them, which is saying something about the trucks itself. I was going to get a 2016, but I lucked out, and found this 2014 at a local buisness that was using it as a delivery truck until they got mini vans. She sat under a awning most of the time. The owner admitted that he loved the truck, but decided that it was just a shame not to be using it. I was happy to buy it after a 30 mile test drive, and a stop by my local body shop to have them take a look at her. They gave me the thumbs up so I informed the owner she was sold !!!!!

A Subaru saved my ass last year. It was the only time in my life I have elected not to wear my seat belt (because you know, what are the odds right?). Modern safety features either saved my life, or even better a lifetime of serious shoulder and back problems. Luckily I just walked away only needing a shoulder surgery I had a couple months ago. I'm very lucky.

I love my Ford 250. I've driven one since I was 15. I had my first one before I had my official driver's license, but it is an '02 and does not have curtain airbags. I do feel safer in the '13 Tacoma in case something bad happens.

You are correct, life changes in the blind of an eye, even when it's out of your control (I was not driving in my accident nor was it the driver's fault, it was a road hazard).

My driving habits have changed tremendously since and my attitude towards driving has changed.

When you are behind the wheel of a vehicle, nothing is more important than driving.

Thanks PackCon for your reply, and I'm glad you're OK. I know that a lot of vehicles these days have great safety features, but after having this accident in a Tacoma, it made me want to get another one just like it. We should all drive our vehicles with a little fear. I ride a motorcycle, and to tell you the truth, I'm still scared of it !!!! Not so much that I won't ride it, but enough to respect it. I know if I have a mishap on my bike, whether it's my fault, or the other person's fault. I will be the loser !!!!!!! I have been driving my Tacoma the same way, as I ride my bike. Watching every intersection , and most of all, keeping my eyes glued to the road !!!!! We take for granted, the vehicles that we get into are machines with no minds. We control the actions of the machine.
