Tacoma jump seats

Now for my first question. My 2023 Tacoma access cab came with no rear jump seats for a carseat. Searching came up blank as to finding a seat online. Has anyone fabricated one or found and installed one? I really only need one.

 

You can buy one from Toyota.

Baby seats don't really fit in access cabs.

 

A lot of folks trade the cab panels that you have for their seats. Ask around. I'm sure someone will help you out.


Rear facing seats maybe problematic, but we made due with them in the convertible that we had when our girls were little. I have installed a full size car seat a couple times in my AC when a friend needed a ride to the airport. If installed well, it doesn't require much forward movement of the front seats.

Whatever you do, don't fabricate something in your garage and then strap your kid to it in a car seat, that's just asking for trouble. You should be able to add one from Toyota with little effort.
