If this has been discussed and beaten to death, feel free or let me hear about it....but.... is the lean to the driver's side on a third gen the same as on a first gen....the gas tank? Noticed it the day I picked it up....leaning a tick to the driver's side. Figured they would've come up with a fix for that by now?

This is about as beaten to death as it can get :deadhorse:

But yes mine had a 1 1/4" rear left lean. As mentioned search Taco Lean (have to add content as to not get banned)

Kinda figured as such. Disappointing that Toyota hasn't figured that out yet and solved the problem. Guess I'll have to feed my wife a little more. I'm an idiot for not searching "taco" lean. I searched "Tacoma" lean like a moron. Lol

That's cause we all figured it out so Toyota doesn't have to fix it. 1/4" spacer up front on top of the drivers side shock... and level.

Less lean than the 15 and older though, as Toyota cheaped out with a smaller lighter 24f battery.:annoyed:

The Hilux and Taco are the same platform (at least I'm assuming that's carried forward to the Gen 3 trucks) so there's really no problem for them to solve. Most of the world has the driver on the other side balancing out the battery and fuel tank. It just happens that the country with the driver on the same side as the battery and fuel is also the country with the largest per capita ass.

Every brand has lean, it isn't just Toyota. GM trucks do, Ford trucks do as do Dodge's. It is a combination of all stated above...

Well, I just had the rear leaf spring recall done and now I've got a bit of a lean to the right.

I guess the good news is it will even out when I get my fat ass in it.

Bumping this. I noticed slight lean tonight and thought I was just crazy. Sure enough it’s a thing!

I’ve read many threads on it... and I still can’t figure out if this is a concern on a stock new truck, or just normal? Is it really supposed to be this way? Do they all have it?
