Tacoma leather seat upgrade

Hi all, i have been all over the board looking at options on seats. After measuring a 4 runner seat i found them to be a bolt and wire in setup so a found two out of a 2018 limited 4 run, in black leather both side automatic w/heat and A.C in excellent condition for the price of getting my cloth seats covered in leather. Anyone know what two 2019 sport seats are worth with 3500 miles on them. Also has anyone done this swap. Thanks

The seats are on order. Coming from the east coast. Money back guarantee if they are not as represented. The heated part well be nice. Its 34 F here today. Well post with pictures after install.

 

Post them on Craigslist or eBay (pickup only) for $1000 and someone will eventually buy them. Sell as set don’t break up.

Well that didn’t work. Toyota said you can not wire in 4Runner seats to a Tacoma. Well i guess i still live in the last century when it comes to that. Ordered Katzkin seat covers for my stock seats. This was so much easier 20 years ago .

 

That sucks because if this worked I was going to look for gx 460 seats.

 

Does the seat frame match up to the floor though? Because with a bit of know-how anything electrical can be wired up

It’s the heated and cooled part that would be more complex - modules involved i’m sure

and FFS a dealer told me i wouldn’t be able to install a 2020 power seat in my 2019. As a certified electrical tech i find that laughable

hellll with enough money and time someone could throw an LS in this thing if they wanted to

 

I’d love to know if they do, had that car, great seats. The leather is more supple, than the factory leather in the Tacoma. I like the stiffer leather in my truck, but the overall comfort in GX seats, well...

 

The 4Runner seat are comfy and fit perfect in a Taco. The electric tech said if i had the factory harness it could be made to work. I don’t know one way or another and just decided to sell them and go with the Katkins
