Hey, Anybody had issues with the leather seats being really hot.I know leather is hotter
than cloth but dang. Particularly the lower back of the seat. Anyone know any real solutions?
I’m looking at trucks and like the limited except for the hot seats. I’ve thought of maybe a
gel cushion or something but may end up getting cloth. Thanks for any help.

Guess you could always trade for cloth. Guess I could volunteer for the trade. :)

I made that mistake last week, it was cold the night before and had them on, the next afternoon I am wondering why I was so damn warm...

Everyone is different. Tacoma leather is same as Tundra leather is same as F150 leather etc. It all comes from cows, or is synthetic like 4Runner Softex. Point is it all gets hot.
It's really the people are different, not the leather. Some are sensitive some are not.
Your thread tirle ahould have been "People Sensitive to how Hot Leather Seats Get."

Lol ! I’m not fat I’m actually skinny. My wife has leather in her highlander and it’s not hot.
Maybe because it’s not real leather in the Tacoma and doesn’t breath.

Have the dealer deliver w/Katzkin custom leather. They can do perforated lower back panels and all sorts of stuff that should be better/cooler than the stock PVC slab

I noticed a huge difference in the 3rd gen Softex stuff and the perforated leather I had in my 2nd gen. It gets way hotter in the sun and for whatever reason seems to not get as cool in the winter. I guess my official assessment is non perforated Tacoma pleather is not good for fat dudes in hot climates.

Only thing that's actually leather are the bolsters. I've got the Premium package seats in my TRD Sport and no problem. No reason they would get any hotter than any other seats of the similar material and color.

Hmmm...Limited, Pro and the rest of the OEM leather seats are all the same except the stitching and color. I've never had an issue with it being too hot but what ever the hell they're made from if you're too hot then you're too hot. Maybe the 2022 will have AC seat coolers...

I live in Florida and always make sure I put a sun visor in the window. I love leather since they hold up so much better.
