I ordered the Rock Sliders from Tacoma Lifestyle on Dec 8 of this year and decided to cancel the order on Dec 11th.
I message them and emailed and saying that I made a mistake and cancel my order.
It took 2 days for them to respond.
It’s not even a week when I decided to cancel the order.
Truman (Tacoma Lifestyle) emailed me saying he was gonna charge me 15% restocking fee.
So I responded and ask him why would he do that?
The item was not even shipped yet and nothing to return.
The “ no hassle return policy” is a joke.
Until now, he has not issued me my money back. So I decided to file a dispute from PayPal

Caliraised shows a 15% cancelation fee which tacoma lifestyle doesn't seem to show but is passing it on to you.

I understand that. If I have the item and decided to return it. Then 15% applied.
CaliRaised will not apply the restocking fee if your order has not been shipped and decided to cancel.

Dumped the Tacoma, that's all it needed.
They may have already started manufacturing them and now your order has cost them time and material.

It’s a first world problem that you caused for yourself. Next time, be more decisive at the start and/or ask the wife first before you spend money.

Yes, I’ve seen that. Again, there was nothing to return cause I have not receive the item and restocking fee should not be applied. So, there was nothing to restock.

A couple of Nissan SR20's would pull a premium one week before race wars.

Sorry OP, but dealing with garbage companies and then complaining seems to be the new Friday in the 3rd Gen sub.

These Taco supreme clowns are all drop shippers, when you push the button they order the part. When you change your mind they are already floating it from CaliRaised. The cancelation fee covers their butt for their sources.

It’s also a week before Christmas so service and courtesy are down the toilet.

When you order your sliders again, consider dealing directly with the manufacturer- that way you are avoiding the greasy middleman.

So when you order a custom fabricated item made of steel, do you think they just wait 4 weeks and then poof it pops into appearance? And no, they don't buy huge quantities of steel and just leave it laying around the shop in the hope that somebody will eventually buy something that they can use it to build. If they do keep a small quantity on hand to work on immediately, they are going to order more to replace it when your order comes in. Even if it was only two days, they had probably ordered steel to make your sliders and may have started working on them with what they already had on hand. That steel and that work costs money. Dealing with fighting your disputed charge on pay pal costs more money. They showed their policy upfront.

I understand what you were saying.
My point was, I order this on Friday and I tried cancelling it Monday.
Considering it’s only 3 days when I put my order in, that could be an exception.
Look, I also emailed them to go ahead and take the restocking fee, but until now I have not received the rest of my money.

Thank you all for the inputs.
They gave me a full refund and avoided the restocking fee.

I’ve been looking for it, but I can’t find the pic. I’ve seen them post, email or whatever advertise a bunch of built sliders in stock and ready to go.238F5F7A-F3C2-4C3E-A300-B1F67A9A3AF3.jpg 8CF6E5D4-1420-4B02-AE8E-AFEE6407C3F0.jpg

From February and June 2020? The global supply chain is just a wee bit different since something happened in 2020...

Yeah yeah yeah. Like I said I can’t find the pic. I think they sent it in an email. But it had the shop and lots of sliders prebuilt. Don’t fool yourself into thinking Cali raised is a small company waiting for your order to come in before they purchase metal to make your sliders.

I’m pretty satisfied on the outcome.
Not sure if any of you know that if you use PayPal, you are covered under Buyer Protection on some degree and that how I got my money back.
Im just glad that Tacoma Lifestyle and PayPal settled my dispute on my favor and that’s all Im asking.
Merry Christmas and Gos bless everyone!
