Tacoma Lifestyle Review

I've ordered most of my Tacoma goodies from them. Never had an issue. My recent order took a bit of time to ship, but I'm a patient individual. It's all wants, not necessity so far. So I'm not 100% concerned about the turn around time. Truman had always responded within a reasonable time frame as well as been very helpful.

 

Plain "trim black" textured covers are a whole $45 on Amazon.

Never shop at any millenial run boutique/specialty store. None of them understand the concept of customer service. When you grow up being constantly told your special you don't value the customer, you're doing them a favor and they should be thankful you're spending an hour a day taking their money. Lesson learned.

 

I also had a pretty frustrating experience with Tacoma Lifestyle recently. Placed an order at the end of October, received an order confirmation email shortly thereafter. Two weeks pass, no shipping notification. Reach out to get a status update, Truman says my order will ship out in the next few days. Next few days come and go. Wait another week, still no shipping info. Reach back out, now I'm told they're backed up because of Black Friday shopping, but my order will ship out in the next few days. Next few days come and go again. Wait another week, reach back out, again I'm told my items will ship in the next few days. Wait another week, still no shipping information. Finally, after waiting 1 1/2 months from when I placed my order, I just ask if they can cancel the order so I can order the parts somewhere else. Truman tells me they will cancel it and I should expect a refund in a couple days. Another couple days pass with no refund issued. Reach back out again, after near two months of them having my money without shipping the item I ordered, they finally process the refund that day. I was ordering accessories and not necessarily anything I "needed' so I was fine waiting a little while to receive my items. But 2 months is an insane amount of time to process an order. It felt like I was always getting the run around whenever I inquired about this order too. I never ordered from them before, and I'm not sure if I will again. They have some great stuff, but man was this a terrible first impression.

 

No problem at all! It sounds like it did ship out yesterday. Sometimes the holiday rush blesses you with a late UPS pick up

My problem, which has an effect on trust, is everyone that has had a problem and posted the reply from TL has received the same reply with the same wording. It’s like they have a pre-written script to copy and paste for responses. If you have a list of pre-written responses for buyer’s issues, that’s a bad sign. The responses I’ve received from Truman are verbatim copies to reposes posted in this thread, except the name of the customer.

 

Well I jumped in on their “sale”. Now I’m waiting for a shipment to be picked up and sent to me for days now. Also no response from their email.

they should not be a vendor here and I’d advise anyone from dealing with them. I’ve given them till Tuesday next week before I file a chargeback with my CC.

my guess is cash flow/staff issue and getting ready to go under with actions like this.

 

That’s the one thing I’m waiting on for chrome delete on the rear bumper. The final piece of chrome (and the ugliest). It was “in stock” when I ordered it and when I inquired why it wasn’t shipped I was told it was a custom made piece and would take two to three weeks to ship.

 

We received your sales order on Wednesday the 28th, which is 7 days from when you told me you have placed your order. I'm unsure what's happening on their end, but I can tell you that they have a very small crew of about 4 guys. We've decided to send out your order ahead of what it was originally scheduled due to this issue. Tacoma Lifestyle is one of best partners, and this type of sluggishness is atypical of them. I suspect it has everything to do with the holidays, but I will reach out to them later today or on Tuesday when I return to the office to see what's happening.

That statement is partially true. We do "custom make" these items in our manufacturing facility in Rocklin, California. However, a long delay should only apply to out-of-stock (need to make 'em again) or hand-painted parts, the latter of which should not be accessible to TacomaLifestyle at this time.

Bought the Tufskinz Glove Box Letter Inserts from them. They shipped quickly and are of good quality, so, No Complaints.

 

I already ordered and received my Bumpershellz. eCOOL1 replied to my post and got me taken care of. Couldn't be happier with my experience with eCOOL1. Had my bumpershellz in like 3 days, and they look great.

 

Damn, I wanted to order the interior chrome delete and now having second thoughts. Was gonna order from Meso but their shipping is $15 compared to free with TL.

 

I've ordered from them five times with no issues.

 

I ordered a Prinsu rack. It took longer to ship than I expected but the day it was delivered they sent an email out advertising 15% off prinsu racks. I emailed them and they retroactively applied the discount (in the form of gift certificate). I was pretty happy about that.

 

I haven’t had any issues with them either. Ordered several things from them including my form taillights. Would love to be a part of their team

 

I have stuff sitting in my cart, not in any hurry as my truck is done but I saw a few things I wanted. I have two very good friends who have spent a few bucks with Tacoma Lifestyles and have had nothing but good things to say, so I will try but this shipping and longer than normal wait time is causing some concerns. I want the bed light kit for the for 16 to 19 and was wondering if its a OEM kit and plug and play and does anyone know?

We can second Tacoma Lifestyle and their great customer service. We've been a customer of theirs regardless of them offering our products on their website.

 

I’ve bought a couple small things from there. Nothing expensive though and always have had good service.
