Just installed a 2” Bilstein 5100 & 885 with AAL in the back in my 07 DoubleCab Sport Tacoma.

After install I noticed the infamous “vibrations” at low speed that could be caused due to the needle bearing needing to be swapped with the aftermarket part from ECGS.

However I hopped into my truck this morning and it is running smooth as stock again and did all the way to work. My question is, is the bearing worth replacing and are there any consequences of running it stock if the vibrations are at bay?

    Thanks in advance

It's worth swapping just because it will probably give you trouble at some point in the future and it's a pretty easy job. I doubt you're doing damage running the stock bearing if it's smooth, though

I'd do it sooner to avoid causing serious, not-so-easy to repair damage down the road. It's a cheap and easy fix

Likely caused by difference in temps of fluids / housing etc when you felt it and didnt.

That stated, when it does do it, flip it to 4wd (as long as you are going straight) if it goes away, ECGS n done.

Realistically though, just do the ECGS bushing n call it good.
