My tires are stock size... 265/75/16 will look great. That is what I will be upgrading to.

How much did that setup cost you? and was it ok to set the billies at 2.5? i had heard that you should leave them at 0, but that was with Ebaich Coils. I don't want to risk running 3plus inches on my Tacoma so i would love to try your setup. i would be ok with 2.5, where did you get your new stock coils?

5100s front at 2.5" with Moog replacement springs, 5100s in rear with 2" Wheeler's AAL
Stock coils were like $47 from Summit and I think that was free shipping. Can get them at RockAuto as well. They are MOOG brand.
Rear 2" AAL from Wheelers was $77.50 before shipping (shipping only like $12, but im in the same state they are)
Front 5100's I got from a guy here on the forum new for $160 shipped. He went a different direction and never installed them. They are not too much more expensive buying from a shop.

I have not got the rear shocks yet, those are next.

So I am only into it for $297 so far + $157 or so for the rear 5100's (when I get them), Total will be a little over $450.

2.5" is absolutely fine for the fronts on stock springs. They come from Bilstein on that setting. 0 setting is just for aftermarket lift springs. I love the ride. Little firmer (which is good) It is much better than stock. Rides great. Much less body roll, etc. Not too stiff by any means. Rides like it should.

Ok so your still running the stock springs right with the new bilstein 5100's? I'm already runnin 33's and just want to have the extra lift for trails and the extra lift.

Can I use 5100's with my stock leaf springs? or do I need to at least do something with the leafs?

Depends which ones you get. IIRC 5125's should be fine with no lift

I think they're just the normal 5100's everyone gets. And normally I see people using them with AAL, or whole spring packs that add lift.

Yeah wheelersoffroad.com says they're for lifted trucks so I'm thinking they're intended to go with some lift in the rear.

I have a 2013 TRD Sport that came with Bilsteins new. Are those 5100s that people are always mentioning? It says in the first part that NO ONE recommends using the 5100s with aftermarket coils but most of the OME lift kit threads I read recommend them together. Why wouldn't they be used together? Thanks. I am new to all this

Not sure about your question..BUT... if u have 5100 in the rear it requires a lift with an AAL, leaf kit, or a nasty block lift, ur choice....The fronts can be run without lift shocks at 2.5 inches

OZ-T is right, stock Bilsteins are not the 5100s (stock billys are yellow/blue, 5100s are silver and black). I am running OME coils (aftermarket) with the 5100s and I love the ride/feel/lift. Great quality and ride for a lower price point than going King/Fox/Icon.

RileySB... How much lift did you get with that setup. It's what I want to do based on reviews. I have a prerunner which will barely even see a dirt road so on road ride is what is important to me. What do you have in the rear? Did it level the truck out

this thread is wonderful.i only got through 15 % of it but I am going to refer to this over and over again btw. I am about to get some 265/70/17s to put on my stock wheels or maybe I will sell my 20" wheels and buy some bad ass 17"s.maybe throw a readylift leveling kit on too.
