So after much research on TacomaWorld, I have decided to install Bilstein 5100s in front and back. I plan on having the front set at the highest setting (2.5) and either having a 1.5 inch block lift or shackle in the back. I want to run 285/75/16 tires. Is this a good route to go? Also, should I run my stock coils or go with the eibach coils?

On a side note I just got my truck back from having the frame replaced. I couldn't be happier. I received a brand new frame, brake lines, hardware, and leaf springs! Essentially a brand new truck underneath! :oldglory:

Work within your budget. Researching can be overwhelming. Yes it's a good start, I'd avoid blocks if you can, but they do work, and LOTS of people use them. It's not like they are 8" tall. If you can afford to I'd recommend fox or icon. As well as new rear springs. (Sell your new stock springs) I went with bilstien rears and have been happy. But I think I'll do Icon's next time.

    Yes sir
Add-a-leaf in the back or a new leaf pack. I'd go 2"'s to match your front lift.

Agreed, aal is a good option with new leafs out back. A bit cheaper too.

A lift, some wheels, some tires, some performance, some cosmetic and then audio.
You're gonna hate your ride quality because of your TRD progressive rated springs compressed to 2.5" lift with 5100's.

It looks like I will be going with the add a leaf option for the rear. Thanks for the help everyone. I am also planning on getting some wheels. I have heard with the 285's that the wheels will rub on the upper control arm. Does anyone know how much back spacing I should do?

I agree with everyone above with the exception that if you do get new Eibach coil springs in the front you'll have to adjust your setting of 2.5 to the stock setting on the shocks. But only if you get 3"Eibach coils. That's what I have in the front of my Tacoma. The adjustable 5100's with 3" Eibach springs only difference is ToyTec says to put them on the stock setting since you have 3" springs but I put mine on the 2nd setting for a little more lift. I also have Camburg UCA's too. 5100's in the back with a 2" AAL. The only bad part of lifting the front more than the recommended stock setting is I go through a pair of CV Axles every year. Even with a Diff drop. Just my opinion. If you use your stock springs in the front then that setting is fine
