So being a new member means our points aren,t valid? What are you like 25 yrs old. Just curious because your age is relative to your experience.I have owned two Toyota trucks over the last 22 years. For people who try to get the most out of their trucks and keep them an average of 10 years or more ODR is and should be the most important factor. If you are someone who gets a new truck every 5-6 years buy whatever you want. You can throw a dart and pick one because you don,t have it long enough to usually have too many problems with it. Changing the grill out down the line to one less flashy is about the easiest fix you can have and shouldn,t even be a complaint IMO.I said it before and I will say it again. You just got a 2015 Tacoma. What else were you going to say.

I am actually 29, but thank you, and yes age plays a factor in life experience but so do alot of other things (I've been on 2 deployments and seen and experienced alot of things others have not), raised by single mom, bought everything by myself, 3 jobs in college, but thats not the point. And this is my 3rd of these trucks, I bought the 2015 after seeing the 2016 release, Im not new to these trucks, all my buddies drive different tacos as well and we work on them. I have given plenty of due credit to the new truck in other posts, but I also point out the negatives and where toyota really dropped the ball. And the new member comment was to alot of the new guys who dont know much about the truck and start saying all the other people are hating because they are jealous or some stupid reason. Its not hate its actual criticism and points that are valid just like yours, it shouldnt matter if I just bought a 2015 or if I have an 08.

I only said something about your age because of the new member comment. So I hope you don,t take offense because I certainly don,t. Sounds like you have your head screwed on right. And even though I am busting balls a bit I take no offense to the complaints about the new truck. I mean this is the Internet and isn,t that what it's for Lol! Truth be known I have been thinking about getting a 2015 but the added MPG and what I beleive will be a better frame that is not as apt to rust is pushing me towards the Gen 3. Plus if I go TRD off-road I like the idea of crawl control feature though I don,t know how good it will actually work. By the way I am 43 and only wish I was 29.

No worries, sometimes I get a little to sensitive about things, lol. I agree though the mpg definately is a plus with the new truck or what we all hope, my buddie's new fullsize's get better mpg than my taco and thats kinda sad, but I bought it knowing its reliable, fits my lifestyle and I know how to work on it. I like the offroad the best to be honest, the gray piece in the front bumper helps break things up along with the fender flares. I like the access cab color too they have floating around and the access cab in general cause it dosent have that weird black vinyl overlay between the windows. I agree lots of nice feature upgrades like the crawl control even though Id never use it, cool to have, and the new display is really nice along with the a/c controls, etc.

If that is what they were thinking than they are stupid.
Apparently they dont know how the process works for establishing towing capacity. In that process there is no ratio between towed trailer and vehicle used for towing.
However, that also means new 2016 has worse handling than Colorado which has 7000LB capacity.

If you dont own 2gen and you never seen 3gen than yeah your points are pretty not valid when it comes to most of the topics here.
Why would I consider your opinion on what was "reused" from 2gen on 3gen if you have neither.
Just because you owned two Toyota trucks in 22 years is not any impressive
I currently own 3 Toyota trucks...

    Only one gets detailed...
He tried to impress me with two trucks.
Plus I did not like his previous pretentious post.

6800 lbs is a lot of weight. I wouldn't pull 6800 further than across town with a Tacoma.

Wow , it is incredible the amount of negative people in this forum. It feels sometimes as if GM is paying off people to bash on the brand!

My comment about 2 trucks in 22 years was to show QDR was the most important thing for me. Nice try though.

Again why not reuse somethings from the Gen 2 if Toyota didn,t think they needed to be changed. Don,t have to have a Gen 2 or 3 to figure that out. Common sense will get you there just fine. Your going to have to do a little better than this.

There still will be little competition when the 2016 Tacoma comes out. Sales numbers have already proven the Colorado/Canyon twins aren't setting the world on fire. 6800 lb towing capacity for a midsize truck platform is pretty good. I personally wouldn't want to use a Tacoma to tow more than that. The biggest problem with the midsize truck market ar the ever increasing prices. Why not take big discounts and go with a full size truck if size isn't an issue.

Colorado is definitely selling, Somebody posted latest sale numbers and growth is impressive. They will sell them because cheap version
I am hoping Toyota gets their ass Kicked with 2016 and they make V8 an option. I can live with the ugly grill as long there is 5.7V8 under the hood.

I obviously wasn,t trying to impress you. Be careful with assumptions about others. Someone might assume a guy who brags about having 3 trucks and throws around the word pretentious is a privileged spoiled brat who always thinks he is right. Wouldn,t want that getting out there. Might not do much for street cred on a pickup truck forum. Bragging about currently having 3 trucks. Who is trying to impress who?
