The in-laws are beyond excited and are decently prepared. The YJ is very capable but they have only had it for 6ish months and are still a little leary of pushing it's limits..........but that is why I drive it on a lot of the other things:p:D:cool:

I've got a buddy that is going to be out there for a couple weeks with his family. He and his wife may come out to play on a trail or two. He's in a 06 4runner with OME, sliders, and 33's.

Helldorado is no joke, but it is a blast. Some of the pics I posted earlier are from when I ran it in my FJ40. It's a very short trail, like 1/4 mile. The day we ran it we started with 5 FJ40s. After the first obstacle there were only two of us left that finished it, and it took us about 4.5 hours.

That would be a good idea, but then you would have to find a large truck to haul it with

The main line at the entrance is GNARLY! There are super built rigs that struggle with the entrance. There is a "easier" line to get into the trail that isn't as bad but still wasted a couple of the trucks that were with us.

Here's a friend of mine going in the "easy way". the main line is straight up the middle of this photo toward his front tire. Those boulders are HUGE and trying to climb them is tough enough but then you need to stay straddled over that crack to get through it which is pretty tough.
    IMG_1687_20_Large__8eed2f3899e65b4147cca695c7f468666ff34a57.jpg

Here's what happened to him about 5' past the previous photo
    IMG_1695_20_Large__555051fc4c2fa628eaa4b0486a3d0691a560a505.jpg

Busted knuckle/axle shaft, axle housing split, broken shock.
    IMG_1709_20_Large__e1be1949c09244d69cecc4d1c1bd6ce957fe8642.jpg

I winched him back out and it took down one of the other trucks that drove back to the staging area, put his rig back on the trailer and pulled the entire knuckle and short side axle out of his own truck and drove back in to swap it onto the busted truck just so we could get it back to the trailer.
    IMG_1719_20_Large__f02f259f39a4fcfdc6eb1054443491b3eb2e72ce.jpg

Hmm. this doesn't look right. knuckle totally torn out at the studs, with borken studs.
    IMG_1725_20_Large__78e6e4079fc7245eed403cfd2b8ab567beb294bc.jpg

Another view of me coming in the "easy" way
    IMG_1737_20_Large__ed811af84a141525d7a984b92d54fa460bf2f97e.jpg

after that ledge it transitions to this which is extremely tight.

Helldorado is most definitely a two locker trail. Make sure you also have a good winch to get yourself out at the end. Very few can actually drive out the last obstacle.
