jace was looking into having shirts done for the event, and last i heard to get enough shirts made, it would run >$500...and unless someone is willing to front this cost, it's not looking like a event shirt...

if anyone has some killer connections or would be willing to front this cause, please feel free to run with it and let us know what you come up with...

idea was to have something simple like "OPERATION MOAB 2012" on the front left chest, then on the back have a design displaying a majority of the trail names listed on the back like a concert t-shirt..then have a box next to the trail names that you can check mark after completing them..so it would be a shirt that you could continue to build on

design i was thinking of on the back above the trail names would be a tacoma in the foreground with the la sal mtns in the back with slickrock in between...

quoted from the guy who owns the 4runner..

"That the "JadeRunner" all one word for you Mr. Rosetta.

Thanks for helping me randy and all on the Escalator. Sitting in that near vertical hot tub is very un-nerving. Especially just after watching Randy slip his rear wheel into the bottom and putt his cage into the wall.

I was so focused on taking the right line and not falling into that hole that I didn't pay attention to which line to take above it. I made it through the tough hole but by then I was out of my "comfort zone" and I lost my cool.

I then made all the junior mistakes. Gassed it, didn't really know what line to take, fell into a crack and proceeded to stick my arm out the window to catch myself. Right in front or Randy, Brady and Corbet no less.

Fortunately I stopped at that point. Eyes wide open. Randy talking calmly to me. I asked for a strap to my front end. The guys pulled my front down and I drove out. Whew. Glad that's behind me.

I'm pretty sure I could clean it now with that experience in the bank. But, it's clearly a high risk maneuver for a guy without a cage so I will have to re-think a second attempt.

I have video of it all thanks to Corbet so more to come. Just had to get the story straight."

Escalator is all about the right line. My buddy made it up it in his '98 tacoma on 32's and open at both ends. Then the next year with a SAS, 37's and locked at both ends it kicked his ass and he had to winch out. It is all about the line. I got my ass handed to me on 33's and locked in the rear and then I did it like nothing the next year on 35's in my '98 taco. God I love MOAB!

Big tires, big lift, Lots of stuff's.
Was seeing me go rubber up not enough for you lol. I'd come with ya and hook a strap to your front if ya needed people to hold you down. I agree it would all be line choice.

get on the right line and you can run escalator almost without lifting a tire. I spotted a buddy in his '96 Tacoma on 32's and it was a peice of cake.

I spent the night in Moab on Saturday coming home from New Mexico and the place was out of control with how many folks were in town for Jeep safari week. Needless to say I did not stick around long on Sunday and headed home. On my way to NM we stayed in Green River Saturday night and rolled through Moab on Sunday with plans to do a short trail run, it didn't happen due to issues with my ADD switch acting up.
