If anyone local knows about 1st Gen Lockers and could give me a hand to get mine working, I'd be down for the Moab trip for sure... :)

I read through this ARTICLE on TTORA, but being a lousy mechanic, it kinda scares me that i won't get it back together properly... I'll try to find this SupraT person you speak of...

well next order of business will be to get ideas on what trails everyone wants to run so we can get some grouping together ahead of time...

we will fine tune trail leaders and final trail groupings when we get there, but this can get people prepared for trails they wish to tackle...

this is what i plan on doing...

    Trail runs...

Thursday=travel day & set up camp at BFE

    Thursday evening
afternoon trail runs on Green Day, Minor Threat, Strike Ravine, Dropkick and/or LockJaw
Area BFE Meet & Greet - test rigs out and organize trail leaders
    ...

    Friday day
Cliff Hanger or Behind the Rocks
    ...

    Friday night

Meet & Greet BBQ & Drinks
    Area BFE
    ...

    Saturday day
    hiking day/maybe afternoon trail
    ...

    Saturday night

Meet & Greet BBQ & Drinks
    Area BFE
    ...

    Sunday day
    Top of the World
    ...

afternoons can consist of playing around in the BFE playground or tackling one of their trails...Green Day, Minor Threat, Strike Ravine, Dropkick and/or LockJaw

cliff hanger and behind the rocks are not stocker friendly....

so maybe that could be a good day for sevenmile rim or hells or fins...or any other 3-6 ratings (hells and fins rate high but my understanding is the hard obstacles all have bypasses)

keep in mind, with 30+ trucks going, there will be multiple trucks going...

we will need trail leaders who preferably have some experience with the trail or at least with moab trails and trails of similar difficulties to help

    i do...

only one i would say no to is Kane Creek...the rock hill at the end may prove difficult to stock ride heights, and hard without at least 1 locker and good tires...the hill seems to get worse every year too..and 2nd gens will have difficulties in the early squeeze without a winch and a lift

but 1, 3, 4, 6, 7 from what i've seen a stocker with good tires and a confident driver, or at least a good spotter...(not too sure on 3 either, but with help you should be fine)

not sure about 5, but with a 3-5 rating on Traildamage, i would say yes

i'm hoping that with trail leaders 1, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7 should all be passable with a stock tacoma setup

i would say that with your setup you could do all those trails (1 and 3-7)...again kane may prove to be a real challenge at the squeeze and final rock hill, i would at least make sure you go with someone else who has a winch and similar setup...you will scrap here and there, and if you are a manual, your clutch may hate you on the rock hill
