It is a shame, everyone wants a different date and i don't think there will end up being a general concensus. Once the date gets a little closer and i know for sure i'll be going, i'll post up something in SONTT and see if anyone is willing to make the trip with us.

It is quite a long trip down there, but i agree, if we're going that far i wouldn't mind checking out a few other spots as well. If the trip runs during May-24 weekend that'll give me at the most 10 days to play around with for a trip like this.

Haha, Thanks Jace! I'll try and keep the hockey talk to a minimum. ;) I don't get the chance to wheel with many other 1st or 2nd gen Tacomas so i think that'll be awesome wheelin' with that many. I'm glad my girl will have some other women to relate with, she loves the wheelin but i tend to get in my own little world when i'm offroading .

I should be regeared and locked in time for this trip, so it'll be nice to test everything out in some of the best terrain around. It's really a different type of wheelin than it is up north here thats why to me, it would a trip of a lifetime. :D To hell with lazing around a sandy beach (the gf wants to go to the St. Lucia instead) , the dessert beckons me!

depending on my class schedule in the spring I may have to stay in Denver for classes and won't be leaving till thursday afternoon. In that case anyone going through denver or leaving around the same time as me is welcome to join.

with the holidays coming up...a great gift to ask for that will make this trip more enjoyable for everyone, would be to ask for a CB radio and antennae :D

radio shack has some cheap ones, check out Amazon, or stop by a local electronics shop and see what they offer..

even if you get a hand held cb radio, it will make the trails easier...

A CB is on my Christmas list.

Off topic but does anybody have link or good info regarding how to tune a CB antenna? Have any of you done this yourself?

Its pretty easy to tune your setup if you have an SWR meter and an antenna with an adjustable tip. I will bring my meter with me to the meet in case anyone needs to use it.

You got your one "free" use already. :smack: We'll have figure out appropriate, 2nd use compensation.

Sure thing Buddy. Make sure your external antenna is adjustable though.

so with tax season rapidly approaching where i'll be working 6 days a week for 10-14 hours a day, it got me thinking how I CAN'T WAIT TIL MAY! well at least april :D

nothing major going on with the truck as far as upgrades going on right now but i'll have new BHLM morimoto retro headlights installed by this weekend installed, LED reverse lights also going in...

thinking about ordering up a u-bolt flip kit soon with some new bump stops...i keep thinking about getting some longer shocks but longer shocks usually mean the collapse length is hindered so higher bump stops could help that out...

sounds like this will be a great testing ground for some people's new mods...what's everyone got going in this winter/spring that will be new in the spring?

so far my biggest one is skids...BAMF skid and relocated my exhaust so i could flatten out my all-pro tcase skid...didn't have my gears in last moab trip too so i'm excited to see how that goes!

Yeah I'm serious, and I'm not in a rush. Hell, I could bring it to the Moab meet to save on any kind of shipping cost and we could bolt it up when we get there.
