    For us first gens, when i go i bring spare lower ball joints, almost every fluid in the truck, and a bunch of tools, cv if u have a spare... thats about it. for truck stuff.

    if you bring a CV also bring a pry bar big enough to replace it, along with the big 35mm socket for the hub nut.

    lol I keep hearing that but a 35mm fit mine like a glove. I think a 36mm would also work though.

    I used a "OEM" brand 6 point axle nut socket from autozone.

    Same here. I actually bought a 36mm because that's what I thought it was. Turns out it's actually supposed to be a 35mm, but the 36mm "worked" getting the nuts off. ;)

    I lost track thousands of dollars ago.
    The 1st Gen Axle nut is in fact 35mm I don't know if you 2nd Gen guys have 36mm but i know for a fact 1st Gen's are 35mm.

    Appreciate it man. I'm considering replacing the CV's for shits n giggles to have practice. I would imagine my only real obstacle is that this 88 is held together mostly by experience i.e. had to take the drain/fill plugs off with an impact :eek:

    I just got a 36mm for mine when I replaced the cv boot.

    That is his plan. At least that I know of.
