    U-bolt flip ordered...next step to measure my suspension max/mins and get some new shocks and bumpstops! my main upgrade for the trip is my rear suspension..goal is to maximize my current leaf setup and hopefully improve the ride quality...

    thinking billy 5150s with some daystar bumps...still researching on valving options though...and a good source to buy

    DSM is the best place to get Billies man. If you have the meassurements they will hook you up with the correct 5150.

    Sadly you can only really get one type of valving unless you plan on making a custom mount to add two more extra shocks.

    But im lovin mine with the standard valving :cool:

    the 255/70? i think with the heavier 2nd gens, that valving is the softest i can go unfortunately...

    anyone know the eye diameters for 2nd gens? i know jace had issues mounting his new billies up and had to drill out his bushings (something i would like to avoid, pain-free install would be ideal)

    I just picked up a midland 75-822 and it's been great. I picked up the external antenna from a local guy that sells CB / Ham radio stuff out of his house (and online) he sold me on an Everhardt No Ground antenna. Talking to him about properly grounding the rail in our composite beds was going to be a lot more work than it sounds. From what he said these no ground antennas are great and were specifically designed for fiberglass vehicles i.e. boats & motor homes.

    This is his website if you have any questions give him a call. Also I don’t see the antenna I got from him on his site, I may have gotten the last one. It was $36.95 and came with cable and a mount.
